Trio Thursday

Not sure if I have time to post tomorrow, so here's an early contribution:

I've roughed out a spoon-shape with the mini-hatchet & played around for a bit with my new Mora hook-knife from Baryonyx, now it's time to start carving with the Hiking Buddy.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks Uncle!

This is actually the first spoon I'm trying to make so I just grabbed some left over hardware-store wood to practice on. I got a really nice piece of Syringa wood ready for the next one if this one turns out ok.

A day early but I thought I would share mine finally. Machete for Philippines and Hatchet for US.

My favorite trio. My Bushie, my son's neck knife and my pocket blade. It's my favorite because when I'm packing these, it means my son is with me on the trail.

Excellent post Josiah! I love that you included your son and his neck knife. That's what were about here.

I carry an older Marbles slip joint as well as my Fiddleback fixed blades with various saws and hatchets.

God, I love antique linen micarta!

Granted, I didn't have any rocks to place my knives on as the weather sucks today, but for all concerned parties the patch and folder are new -- the hunter sees regular use ;)

Awesome post my friend -- digging the camp nessie / machete / gerber (?) setup; very functional. The GB isn't too shabby either!

Duder, as always, great write up -- its really cool how you are able to incorporate an aspect of your family into a very cool trio!

Thanks mate, it's a Vic SwissTool. So much better F&F and higher quality SS than any Gerber or Leatherman that I have owned. Only one I've had that doesn't rust up on the beaches in Philippines.

A non-Nessmuk trio of Patch Knives... on the rocks.
