Trouble with recon0317

If your temp is 103 or more, you should be headed to the local ER. You are risking brain damage among other things.

I never deal with recon0317. But I agree that patience is very important some time.

But as you said in your post. Recon0317 was on forum but did not reply your message. Same as today you log on to the forum but did not comment or pay visit here?

If you read his previous posts, you'll see why it might say that he's logged on when he actually isn't.

Considering the guy might be in the hospital, a little patience is in order.

Not implying anything by what I'm about to say and without passing judgement Recon was on yesterday . Not a visit to the homepage but he sold a knife .

I'm not going to throw stones, life happens and when it does knives take a back seat . Most members see things this way , I know I do .

That being said if I take a man's money I get him his stuff or I tell him why I haven't . IMHO it's bad form to conduct more business until all your past business is dealt with .

Again not saying Recons a bad guy or trying anything a little patience will tell . I'm pulling for the guy . Fact is he was on here yesterday selling a micro tech . Even if he wasn't able to make it to the post office he could of got in touch with op . He very well may of got in touch with the Op I don't know ,but he did sell another knife IMO he shouldn't be selling If he can't ship .

I'd be a little worried if I was in the OPS shoes now just because Recon sold a knife yesterday . Now I'm not implying anyone is scamming here I'm not .

He sold the microtech I sent him. I still have not recieved a tracking number or my knife.

So he sold your knife before the deal was done? For the record I've dealt with the OP before and it was a smooth transaction. Actually a few times we've traded.

How about trying to contact ME before shooting your mouth off? I kinda figured your original end of the trade was the Medford. Yes, I am at Trinity, you're welcome to call and confirm that. But please, if you have something to say, email me. Don't shoot you effing mouth off. I'm fine, by the way, just had a blood vessel in my head tear is all. Take a freaking pill man.

This is how I've opted to deal with this. Sorry for the language, but this guy is pissing me off.

Photo removed due to the nature of personal information on display, this is a copy paste of the text of my email.

"Hey dick, why not contact me directly in stead of running your fucking yap? I've been in the hospital for a couple days, but my phone works just fine. I asked if you wanted the DOC back, you declined and opted to wait for the Valk, which is fine. I haven't been home since Wednesday evening. But I'll tell you what, if it will make you feel better, I'll refund that cat his cash for the DOC and put that in a box for you. I was doing you a hell of a favor tossing you a $400 knife that nobody can find anywhere. But I'll say this straight, you're being an asshole, and I'm feeling disinclined to deal with you. So I'll get you your DOC back, and then I never want to hear from you again."

Not cool at all. You should send him the knife you agreed to, and you really shouldn't have sold the one you got before you did that.

I have not been home to send him the knife we agreed to, and he has taken it upon himself to flip the hell out and make a very public statement without contacting me privately AT ALL. So yeah, forgive me for being a little peeved at the guy.

If you weren't home to send it, how are you able to ship the one you sold? Sorry, but I can't blame him for being upset here. You should never have listed the knife you received before he got the knife he's supposed to.

It sure seems like this is a prime example of how communication goes a long way. i.e. letting the other guy know that you are in the hospital and it may be awhile. Asking questions before starting threads and letting the other guy know that a thread is going to be started, and so on.

I also agree with LW's post 100%. It is bad form to sell a knife that is in the middle of an incomplete deal.

Never shipped the one I sold, ask the buyer. This situation is resolved. I'll be out of here in a couple hours, and I will get him his knife back.
