Trout success giveaway

Im not a trout fisherman but I have fly fished for bluegills. My most productive fly is a honeybee pattern.

From my phone. I tried bees, but didn't have any luck. I had ant patterns with me but didn't try them. Didn't see many terrestrials moving other than hoppers. But ant patterns always seem like a good idea. I did use a parachute Adams with some success: had a big brown snap one off the line. Pheasants tail nymphs are awesome, but not the most productive on this trip. Keep those guesses coming!

Thanks for the contest!! Great looking knife and scenery! It's always been a dream of mine to travel out west. You're a lucky guy to be able to fish there!...I've just recently taken up fly fishing (2 months) so I'm not very familiar with all of the different types. I've mainly fished for bluegill and bass and the best fly I've used is a Round Dinny made by Accardo Products. I know it's not really a trout fly, but I'll make that my guess.....

It had to be this one:

That fly looks so cool, there is no way it was any other fly. :D

dipbait, you'll have to shoot me the source...I've got a lake of bluegills about 50 feet from my front door:D

Ahhhhh...these are mountain trout...think blue jeans and boots...not bling-bling and chrome.

But damn someone can tie a fly, that's for sure.

Awesome scenery, great knife, generous OP. All I can say is wow and thanks. I'm going to go with a trico.

You just wait till midnight, I get another try. It is tough though, I myself have probably used 250+ patterns over the years and guys tie new ones every day!
