Black Gnat
dipbait, you'll have to shoot me the source...I've got a lake of bluegills about 50 feet from my front door
ROCK6
Pic?
Not familiar with that one, but it sounds good!
How about a Trude dry fly?
I dont know where to get them now. I picked them up at an old Tempo store. They were in a kit with a bunch of other flies.
Royal Trude is a cool fly, but I don't fish it much. I'm not sure I even have one. :grumpy:
I've tried to tie Royal Coachmen, but they are trickier than they look. I do like a Royal Coachman or Wulff.

But nothing from the "Royal line" was used for the whole trip.
I'll try a Yaller Hammer today !
Okay. Second guess. I vote for Griffiith's gnat.
Damn I waited till midnight to say that..
I'll have to say Hot Butt Griffith's Gnat.
Great Minds and all that![]()
Griffiith's gnat.
A tiny Midge pattern maybe a Zebra Midge
Sometimes a size 20 or 22 Griffith's is the one thing that will work when nothing else does; but i didn't try it this trip. I've had great luck with the Griffith's and it's easy to tie. Always one or two in my Fly box.
