Truck Knives, What do you carry?

in my truck I have a mora,a victorinox rabbit, two gerber hatchets(on sale.11:99 each) and a cold steel shovel. I guess in that vein,I should add the two normalsize spades.

I have a SOG fField Pup stashed in my BOB and a Buck Whittaker stashed somewhere. Probably another knife or two somewhere in my truck. Probably pick up some sort of cheap machete for it. I used to have a Cold Steel shovel but I left it in Utah last time I moved. :grumpy:

Since hurricane season has started and I like keeping the truck loaded, I have:

- Victorinox Swisschamp
- Triflex Mora
- Cold Steel Two Handed machete (basically what we used to call a Cane Knife around here)
- Cold Steel Kukri Machete
- Ontario 22inch Heavy Duty Machete
- Kershaw Folding Saw

The Ontario and the Kershaw saw are the most used for routine chores.

I keep a 12 in tram and a vic farmer in my bag in the truck. I also have a Glock field knife in the glove box.

Becker BK-7 rides in a cab caddie behind the seat.

Any mora would also make a fine truck knife, and at ~$10 a pop, you can rest easy at night.

I have a digital gunsafe bolted in my trunk (Honda Ridgeline. I love a truck with a trunk) that carries a couple of knifes and my Glock 17 when I am on the way to the range:) It seems I am always on my way to the range.

I keep a Busse FFBM in my car, just in case something needs to be destroyed. It's not a bad knife to keep around.;) I've found that a big chopper is one of the most useful tools you can carry. It's a combination knife, hammer, axe, pry-bar, shovel and chisel. No, I won't tell you what kind of car I drive or where I park it.

I also keep a Ka-Bar Kukri in the trunk, which was the knife the FFBM was intended to replace. I just never took the Ka-Bar out. So now, I could wade into a horde of zombies double-fisted, should the need arise.

Mora + Fiskars axe = everything in the way of blades a car needs. And not expensive to replace if some retard (of which there are plenty around my part of the world) decides to steal the car and everything in it.

Oh, darn. And just as I was getting ready to ask you about it. :(

I used to keep a chopper in the vehicle but I read to many, "My vehicle got robbed or stolen threads."

Now I just keep a good multi tool and flash light in the vehicle around town and of course my edcs that are on me and toss in my Busse FBM or Swamp Rat Ratweiler when I head somewhere remote.

My car has a "secret compartment" in it, that's where I stash my knives. The car itself is rather utilitarian, and is a bit messy. I'm fairly confident the knife would remain undiscovered if the car were casually pilfered. There's certainly nothing that would indicate that there's a $600 knife (including sheath) hidden within. Plus the two places where I usually park are locked and/ or under surveillance.

In the truck box is a Coldsteel Bushman and Mora Clipper (both in my survival kit). Inside is Leatherman Wave and a couple SAK's.

I used to have several knives and flashlights in there. Then my truck was robbed. Now I put my man bag in there each morning. I've got a Game Warden in there.

This is what I usually have in my bug out box in my car.

I usually have the BRK&T Forester in the left of these pics.
