Two For Tuesday

Yes I know, I am several days early...but Tuesday may be a bit hectic for me :)

Great pic Mist

Don't you have the Bushboot with the red wooden handle anymore?

Ah, you mean this one, the Bloodwood one, and no. It was my first tapered tang Fiddleback, tapered 5/32. I sharked it, and got to take it one one hike. I'll try to keep this reply geared for the T for T thread :)

And a friend here saw the pics. He had recently gotten a Blackwood one in tapered 1/8 and it didn't have the heft he had wanted. He offered a straight up trade. I had gotten the Bloodwood one for the tapered tang but really liked the Blackwood handle better.

It turned out to be fortuitous, as I also got a matching tapered Woodsman shortly after. Those are my...well our two oldest Fiddlebacks as the Blackwood Bushboot is my wifes.

I had edc-ed the Blackwood Bushboot for some time before Lisa got it, it is I think my favorite FF edc. So I wanted one to pair with my machete, as you see it above, so now Lisa and I have sort of a Yin & Yang thing going on with our Bushboots :)

Yeah, that's the one, that explains why there aren't more pics of it (I always run in to your pics when I research a Fiddleback via google, lol).

Those two are a nice match indeed, you just need to too sharpie in another black dot on yours ;)

Heck, lemme post a pic too to make up for the off-topic. Just an old one though, since it isn't Tuesday yet :p

Cousins. Hiking Buddy in Bocote. Bushraptor in Desert Ironwood.

I miss having a camera, the cell phone pics just aren't the same. Shield your eyes from the poor images but hey, who doesn't mind a few more Fiddlebacks.

Obviously I struggled with glare and focus, despite the cloud cover.

Wow, I'm not the only one who likes the natural combos. The Shank and Machete look great together!

Man, if Andy would do a 12" Tuxedo machete I'd be in heaven LOL

Machete, Bushraptor, Bushboot...Black Tie Affair

Yeah, I'd love to see some of the machetes with liners and pin stripes like the knives. That would be killer!

I like that HB, Abrasion, nice combo on the scales.

Mist, I'm a big fan of canvas micarta, both natural and black and we share a high opinion of the Shank, the most under-appreciated knife in the lineup. It excels as a paring knife and makes for an excellent cheese and meat slicer on dayhikes. Mine is 1/8" with a swedge and weighs only 4 oz., a 4" slicing machine. Does quite a number on a summer sausage or a bell pepper. The handle is very comfortable as well but that's a given.

Machetes with pinstripes and liners will be my undoing. But bring 'em! CAN'T WAIT!!

A couple of hardworking Bushcrafting blades for Two for Tuesday today.
