Hello Fiddleback friends,

I have been more or less laid up after right ACL reconstruction surgery a week and a half ago. I am slowly on the mend and looking forward to 2015.

Here is a “Two for Tuesday” of a couple things that I will post in January when I am more mobil again.

First, I will post my comments on Nathan’s (thurin) scandi Arete pass-around knife. I will compare it to my convex Arete and let you know if I prefer one over the other.

“J-Dog” is ready to help with the review and weigh in with her opinion also. I have a feeling that her input will be heavily influenced by which knife cuts more delectable treats for her.

I also scored a Gaucho in December. I will be reviewing that model also. Here it is next to the Arete for size comparison. The Gaucho has both a longer handle and blade and more finger clearance for kitchen work. Stay tuned for more details and comments.

Happy Near Year everyone!

Phil

This one goes back a bit, and is as much a throw-back-thursday pic as it is a two-for-tuesday...but I like it anyway. My first machete and the first Bushfinger. A very capable team of tools!

Bud, I'm starting to sound like a broken record with regard to your Tuesday posts... outstanding pair(s) once again!

Wow guys. Epic duos today.

I posted these in the Blackwood thread, but it's Tuesday, so what the heck, I'll put them here as well.

Every pair posted today looks fantastic. They show a nice cross section of the models and handle configurations Andy has made. I would be proud to own any of them, but I have to say that Rob's old school bolstered brothers take the prize for me today. Do you know the FF vintage of those?

Thanks everyone for the photos today.

Phil
