TX-Izula, look out for this one

I'm deleting both feedbacks, as if the sale didn't happen.

I'm tempted to create a new infraction level for iTrader fuckery because dealing with feedback scores is irritating to me.

^ For removing Hal's negative feedback, & addressing this problematic issue here in the GBU.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately it wouldn't stop the practice because the people who participate in it don't read any rules anyway. It would give more infractions to stupid people though, which is a good thing.

I really hate dealing with retaliatory feedback on iTrader.

At first glance, this would seem to be a "He said, she said" matter. The problem though, is that I can't take the complaints about the knife's condition at face value. The seller took plenty of pictures. The buyer is making some claims that he's not supporting and some that are disproven. Even worse, for him, is that he registered specifically to buy the knife, then tried to beat the seller up on pricing after receiving it. This smacks of behavior that didn't just spring out of thin air.

Thank you sir. I know you are a busy man, I appreciate your attention to this matter. I'll be adding conditions to sales in the future to keep myself out of harms way. Thanks again.

Nobody cares. If you like it better elsewhere, move out and draw fire. Otherwise it has nothing to do with this thread. Shit talking how a green forum is run would get your ticket punched pretty quickly elsewhere, so I really don't want to hear about how we're bad bad people.
At no point did i say bladeforums has bad people...... unfortunately when it comes to ymmv, mine hasn't been great here sales wise. Threatening someone doesn't solve anything and i can think of many more proactive ways to improve the situation and gain a few more paid members to bladeforums........

Just my 2 cents. Hope it's not taken in the wrong light, but if it is then oh well.

The edge on your Para 2 looks absolutely perfect Hal, and I'm sure the knife in your pics is the one you sent this weasel.
When brand new members question why people won't sell to them.......here is the answer. This dip stick knew exactly what he was doing from the get go.
Sickening. Hope this works out in your favor.

So what is the best way for new members to get vetted? I've done one deal and I'm sure the user would agree it went well. I'm certainly willing to do what it takes to get to be a good member around but just need to know what it is to do so.

Participate, be cool and enjoy yo self.

Also.....if you're interested in buying off the Exchange, read seller's instructions and follow them. Also, pay as fast as you can! If the price is fair and you really like the knife, don't haggle. I'll send a PM AND an e mail stating I'll take it and ask for PP info.
Helped me as I'm a noob too.
Good luck bro!

I dont think you should have to pay to buy knives. That's silly and forcing a lot of good peeps away. You always run the risk of dealing with a dbag. I think conditions should be fine. If you really want to cover your butt and you are the good guy, only accept money orders or cash ;)
I recently had somebody with one post attempt to buy a zt from me. After some research and thought I told him only if he seems me a money order and I then verify the money order with USPS (there are lots of money order scams also). Even PayPal gift can be refunded but the sender if they used a credit card and contact their credit card company and not PayPal.

That being said the deal went smooth.

Like I said, I hate that I have to add conditions and new members don't scare me. Like others have said, you can usually only research someone to a point, especially new guys. After this guy committed to buy then asked a bunch of questions I could feel that something was wrong. I know what I was selling and I know what condition it was in, I knew he was full of it.

Yes, read and follow directions. Some guys on here are more strict than others, basically just be cool. Rose guys have been burned and are protecting themselves.

Had this guy said "I'd like to buy your knife but I have some questions first" I would have been more than happy to answer questions and send pictures prior to a solid commitment. I would have also been okay holding it for him for a little while during our conversation.

The good thing for buyers and sellers on BF is that the crappy ones usually get drummed out and we have moderators and a site owner that get involved and that are level headed enough to see the forest for the trees.

*wipes brown from nose

That's why my feedback got removed, this guy was clearly a D-Bag and hopefully he won't return.
