Ugliest Knife ever?

People talkin shit about AIRKATS:thumbdn: To each his own. As for me they are my MOST FAVORITE KNIVES ON THE PLANET:D I have a saying

AIRKAT KNIVES: "Like your favorite TACTICAL KNIFE... But on STEROIDS"

D.O. covert necker
Dang, don't those guys ever get tired of being a laughing stock?

And my earlier comment applies to this knife as well, "It may be ugly, but at least it's useless too."

all are turds! in the movies, all the bad guys have these. they always end up dead!

Yes, but the airkat is one of those cool ugly knives.

agreed. I like these knives. Dark Ops knives on the other hand not as much. I just can't be convinced that all the choils and pointy bits do anything except for get in the way.

I do love a nice tanto point however. Traditional or modern (done right) have a beauty that pulls.

I also believe that you can make a highly functional tanto knife for general purpose heavy use.

Description

The 911 designation isn’t for the emergency call, it’s to remind its user of the enemy we face, the war we fight, and the heroes who fight it! With the subdued 9/11 Tribute limited edition nomenclature on it’s blade, the operator carries with him a visible reminder of the Americans lost and the heroic efforts of those who take arms in defense of liberty. Blade design offers a combination spear/tanto point with the best attributes of both. CTV2™ steel, an intimidating blade length in excess of eight inches, hollow grind and v-chisel sharpened edge make the Interceptor 911 an incredibly effective fighting tool. The Interceptor 911 E&E offers further enhancements for real-time escape and evasion activities. It includes a patent pending Splitter Hilt™ which provides for cutting away harnesses and overhead cables. Backsaw is optimized for cutting through plexiglass aircraft canopies or helo windows. The choil-notch doubles as both a bottle opener and peacemaker-its’ deployment and use is a great bar fight deterrent in exotic third world locales. Extended serrations aid underwater cutting efforts. Hilt ports provide additional attachment points for paracord in survival situations. Window-breaker in pommel. Notch design allows prybar style mechanical advantage for entry through aluminum vehicle rooftops. Expander tip provides expanded entry-wound channel. Like all Dark Ops blades, the CTV2™ steel will last for decades! The most advanced fixed blade fighter in service today. 100% made in America! Black Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) vacuum deposited finish.

I love this part!

"its’ deployment and use is a great bar fight deterrent in exotic third world locales."

I was so hoping that some one would quote that;)

I am amazed that the "Critical Mass" has not been shown yet (I don't know how to post pics yet)http://www.excaliburbrothers.com/members/697427/uploaded/25-TA52L.jpg

see if this worked......ya the link works. Now, picture me (350 lbs) dressed up in a cheap spandex ninja suit putting one of those on either arm and running around the mall fighting evil, righting wrongs.........man the chicks would dig me then.

well, at least the makers aren't telling us how this is the newest high speed low drag kill terrorists cut your way out of a sinking submarine end all be all combat peace keeping knife:)

Ennemies will cower in fear if you pull this thing!:D How does one carry one of these? Dundee rig?

hmmmm.....

"pulling it" may pose a bit of a problem. i can see myself lopping of most of my right thigh in doing so.

no matter, just carry it around like in the pic.

Where can I find a Airkat tripwire?

I googled it, $600 bucks at tad gear. here is the custom knifemakers all abouts...

Dwaine Carrillo
Prior to becoming a Knifemaker in 2000 Dwaine Carrillo specialized in Multi Concealment System Firearms Coatings. He has had articles in BLADE and Texas Trophy Hunters Assoc. Magazines. Dwaine is also the first Knifemaker to introduce Stabilizer Ramps and Offset Reciprocating Saw Teeth to the knife market. Another quality attribute Dwaine brings to the knife world is the ability to make knife sheaths which are as functional as the knives they carry. "I wanted to do something different than the industry standard" I see a lot of beautiful knives out there but I never see an equally well built sheath. So I decided I would do something different and start making the most RUGGED and FUNCTIONAL knife sheaths and knives I could possibly make. And thats exactly what I did. Dwaine's knives have a lot of thought and function, from the Wolf Pac for hunters to the his Apache Series (now discontinued), to his various folders, each one is well thought out and planned, and the craftsmanship is among the best.

I dont think that one is that ugly, It kinda has a neat Mora thing going on

Oh I agree Keith, it does have that "neat Mora thing"...which is ugliness.

That sheath?!? The guacamole handle?!? :barf:

So ugly...that they're cool looking. Great, cool, well-made, ugly knives.

I've searched my entire collection, but I have none as ugly as the knife pictured in the original post. I guess my tanto point Blackwater Gear Combat is pretty ugly.....but not THAT ugly. Its the one on the top.

I really opened a can of worms when I first posted that.

Maybe I was wrong. That "knife?" is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I laughed until I had tears looking at this....this thing. What on earth would one do with such a thing?

It's intended as a permanent deterrent to chronic masturbators.

I suspect that photo shows any and all things that will ever be done with it.
