Guys keep these monstrosities coming. I need more ugly knives to sustain me. Please continue to post these hideous abominations.

Yup - almost any Spyderco fits in the ugly / odd category.

I don't think I need to say what the handle of that second one almost looks like ( I kind think it has a bit of class to it though )
And I kinda like that little one with the cf, but the other 3 are definitely fugley and ridiculous.

I really don't like when style dictates the overall design of a knife, they should start with function and let that dictate how the knife ends up looking. Too many companies say " let's mash all of these different geometries and shapes together, then make it Into a knife "

Most of the Spydercos posted there look crazy because of a design function, not aesthetic. I think a lot of people see some of Spyderco's offerings and think they are trying to be the Picasso of knife designs, but it's actually the opposite, usually. They don't care how ugly the knife ends up as long as the design concept is achieved.

What's with the those 2 choils on the front of that first one, and why is the spydie hole so high ?

BTW that Picasso thing was a great way to put it 👍

That one is a collaboration with a custom knife maker, Jot Singh Khalsa. The design combines some of the more common design attributes from his folders with Spyderco's design features. From what I have read, the knife gives unique and useful grip positions for precision cutting tasks that are unique to this design. This one is an example of Spyderco's choice to collaborate with makers that other companies would never take a chance on, which they do often.

Spyderco definately has some unique looking knives. Fortunately they are all designed well. Even though they may look funky as soon as you pick them up you see why they are designed the way they are.

Let's see some more blades. The uglier and more poorly designed the better!!

Nice, I'm using that.

I think that's a fighting knife, and you hold it upside down with the edge out.
Spudero definitely has some bizarre collabs, but there is probably someone somewhere who saw the Introvert or the Jot Singh Khalsa and said...
"That's exactly what I've been looking for."

I've had folks call my Baryonyx Machete ugly, but I'm fine with that. Function first!

That's my kind of ugly. It looks like it works for a living.

So far no one has graced this thread with Tac-Force speedsters or jarbenzas. Go Spudero!! That is Spyderco's Italian cousin with a lazy eye. ,

I also kind of like that machete billhook. I think it looks some sort of like a rugged Spetsnaz tool.

More! These pictures of ugly knives feed my power!!

Call me crazy but I kind of like the Jot Singh because it looks like itncan be waved and kinetic opened like the Bram Frank Gunting.

It can be but the original run, had poor lockup on the liner lock. I've had a few and the one pictured is the only one with good lockup.
