Ugly, Odd, Unique Knife thread!!

Hopefully someone else can find a photo, I haven't been able to locate one. The Spyderco Hundred Pacer/100 Pacer, particularly in the closed position, may be one of the single ugliest knives I've ever seen.

It looks to be ergonomic and I'm sure the blade slices fantastically, but good lord is it ugly.

Yeah that 100 pacer just isn't doing it for me.

Are you guys familliar with Airkat knives? They make some ofnthe ugliest most hot spot having knives I have ever seen. They make a Strider SnG look like an Al Mar ultralight. Hell they even give Medford and Direware a run for their monies.

Inalso noticed alot of knives are kind of looking Hinderer shaped. Kizer puts out a few that look close in silhouette. I have seen some from custom makers that do too.

Here's an ugly one:

940? I like the 940. What is ugly about it? I think it is an elegantly practical design.

Lol that was mostly a joke, I know a lot of people love the 940. I was never really a fan though to be honest.

This thread reminded me that I have a #12 Opinel somewhere. Now that thing feels like a small flashlight !

MAJOR UGLIES UPDATE!!!!

There must be turmoil in the Strider Boys marriages because they are letting their unqualified wives take a whack at the grinding wheel. Then they are trying to pass them off on their unsuspecting customers as custom made knives. Atleast these monstrosities are one of a kind.

Here's some by Marisa Strider:

Here is a chisel ground masterpooce, I mean masterpiece by Sheila Dwyer. Clearly this woman has never seen a knife before:

Whats funny is the prices mirror their husbands work. Marisa Strider's stuff commands a higher price than Sheila Dwyer's. This is just like McBurgers usually costs more than Duane Dliars.

I love what Warren Thomas was doing with car in fiber and titanium about 20 years ago. Lately, his designs are not only hideous, but don't seem very useful either. Like blades with 20 different facets and angles for kind of no reason.

There was a Berreta Warren T. collab that I regret missing. It had the CF/ steel blade on a production knife. Awesome.
Yeah definately some of Warren T.'s stuff lately has been not too impressive. He made that "semi-production" folder with that blade that looks like it could use a few viagras and what is clearly an Emerson wave put on backwards.
