Nope, my list of materials was all things I had lying around. Water bottle, WD-40, towel, dryer, zip ties, and various types/sizes of rocks I picked up at the creek near my house. I used mostly quartz, granite, and sandstone and left it in the dryer for about an hour and a half instead of the recommended 45 minutes. This caused a lot of the rocks to slowly break down and create a large grained, super abrasive sand which did well at getting between the ribs on the blade. :thumbup:

How did you do the polishing? Excellent job!

After staining my Leek CB doing some impromptu gardening, a little polishing compound took care of the "patina" and polished the blade too

I've only got 2 modded knives. A Krien'd Ricochet and a 0551 with Hinderer scales.

Got my Black ZT0550 today...looks absolutely awesome with the Carbon Fiber Scale on it!! Can't wait till Rick puts out those new standoffs...then it will be complete

I have seen it actually..Almost had it done to my 0551..but it voids warranty..probably why you haven't seen many....

Now that I see that pic I think I remember who's it is! Yeah the whole warranty deal is probably the reason. I guess I'm just surprised knowing how people are!
