Ungentlemanlike - Traditional Bad Boy Knives

I bought my first 110 in 73 just before my 13th birthday and carried it daily. I do remember; however, seeing those quick open custom sheathes and first thumb stubbie things with 110s being carried by those who were less “outdoorsy” than me and my buddies, more the “carney” type. That was when the 110 became a bad boy knife. That said, out here in Calif, the status of the 110 was slightly eclipsed by the Rigid Apache, when someone pulled out an Apache, the 110s tended to stay in their sheaths!9617C8EE-202F-489E-BF4B-65AA73101E23.jpeg

Maher and Grosh also had another ad with a testimonial about two Mexicans using this model in a knife fight. Wouldn't be my first pick for an altercation but I guess times were different back then.

I rarely even think about such things, being now old and fat and worn down, but the most ungentlemanly folder I have is the Hammond Cruiser, specifically designed as a fighting knife. It happens to fit my hand beautifully! Shown here with a more gentlemanly Moore Maker stockman.
