I only ship using their express insured method anymore, otherwise stuff is lost 30-50% of the time. meh

If they lose a package, does the dealer make good?
Cheers

I didn't make the guy I traded with make good as you say wasn't his fault it was there's so it was a complete loss for me. Couldn't blame anyone but the carrier

Update...
It has just showed up. Well the delivery note because I was at work, but it's at my post office.
Just for curiosity I checked the tracking and it still shows in the state of origin. I guess it comes down to the scanning. Or who is scanning.
Cheers

I only use the usps flat rate boxes with insurance and stuff when I ship knives. I have never had a problem with the usps. However, the workers at the post-office in my area act like dmv workers.

Looks like they did it to me again have a package that was supposed to be delivered today mailman just left nothing here we go again .

I do have a tracking number but calling them will do me no good IL sit on the phone for hours and find out nothing . Wait a minute he just pulled up again YEAAAAA It's a Christmas miracle don't have to search for it this time!

I have never had a prob with USPS, and can pretty much predict to the day now when my stuff will arrive. USPS is alright by me!

My local PO was pretty reliable but I guess they ticked someone off a few months back and the building burned to the ground. Now, we get service from a satellite PO that's been set up a little further away and the service sucks. :grumpy:

Latest screwup was a package I was expecting today but wasn't delivered because it was too big for the mailbox. So, instead of leaving it at my apt manager's office which was never a problem before, the moron leaves a slip telling me I can pick it up tomorrow after 10 am at the PO.......the problem with that is that they are closed on Saturdays!! :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

Belated Congrats of delivery.
We should keep this thread going as a sort of group support thing.:D
Cheers

Looks like they did it to me again expecting a delivery today tracked it shows delivered sure wasn't here where it was supposed to be here we go again !

USPS in the local Metro area that I live in is horrible. I happily pay more for an individual or business to ship either FedEx or UPS. I have never had any issue with either of those two. To say that the postal service sucks here is to put it exceptionally MILDLY.

Sucks is definitely an understatement this is getting real old its not were they usually miss deliver it this time checked oh well looks like i am screwed again !

Looks like the vendor who I ordered from is trying to locate the package thru the post office I wish her luck.

That's it no more USPS for me I will only buy or trade with vendors and individuals who ship United Parcel if I have to I will pay extra but I am done . Another package gone off the face of the earth seems like the carriers around here can't read or just don't care.

Wow. So many bad experiences. If it makes a difference, I'm from California Bay Area. I've sent around 20 packages or so, received many more, and I've never had a problem with USPS. The worst one was this one time where I sent a package to someone, and the shipping showed something like "rerouted to XXX" When I clicked for more information, it said that the package had mistakenly been sent there. And the next day, the package was back on track and moving again. Other than that, I've never had any lost packages, and not even any "around the country" trips that a lot of people have. Every other shipment has been 100% perfect. I'm at the point where I don't bother to buy insurance, since I figure if anything does happen, it's extremely unlikely and I can just cover it myself.
