I think you answered your question. You can find out exactly what they are for about 50 cents a blade. If the steel is suitable for blades, then you can do the right HT.
Calling or emailing the company may not give you a real answer. If you do, you need the exact part number and size of the blade.
Sometimes the blades are made in China, or elsewhere, and the steel type is unknown ( or not what it should be).
Sometimes the person answering does not really know, but says what he/she heard or guesses.
Sometimes the blades have been made with many different steels at different times.
Sometimes they won't tell you anything.
I am sure someone will say," Just make a blade and do a generic HT. If it skates a file, the steel is good knife steel." If you get that advise, just re-read this whole thread.
