Oh, by the way, Ethan, when the doc says "No lifting anything over 10 lbs.", he really means it. None of that self-justification... "It's only 12 pounds. That's not too bad." Hernia blow-outs are not any fun.
 
a gallon of milk weighs 8 pounds.
a 12 pack of beer (bottles) weighs at least 16 pounds.

Take it easy, bossman. You have many friends willing to help if you need anything at all. It doesn't matter if it's just a beer milkshake. (Cannery row, anyone?)
 
ThAnk you all for your kind wishes.. Went in today and got bloodwork, EKG, and etc..... The surgery interrogation nurse claims I am in excellent health and that the outcome is positive, if a little painful........ Should be outta the hospital early next week..... A weeks bed rest and then limited moving around....... WE SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO for the weekend but, I will know a lot more next week.........

Good to hear. The thing you need to realize is not to overdue yourself. Your the most gracious host one could ever imagine, and again to bring people in to your home so close to this procedure says a lot. Let everyone there do the work Ethan, really. The most important thing here is your heath, we need and many more need you around for a long time yet. :-)

As you already know, I will not be able to make this one, falls on the same weekend of a family reunion that I skipped last year, so, out of all fairness, I should attend that this fall. But I will catch up with you in the spring, if not, in June in Alanta. Take care of yourself buddy. Let me know if theres anything I can do for you.

Heal up and take it slow. Enjoy the time spent with family and friends during your gt together. Wish I could attend but all in good time
