I'd like a good stonewash. S30v is fine. Blue would be fine but I'd prefer something more unique like texalium for that price. But I'll buy at least one whatever it ends up as.
 
How about a composite steel blade? Those seem to be unique to Kershaw, and I've really liked how well the Sandvik/D2 blade has worked on my Leek. It also provides an opportunity for a unique design on the blade itself using the copper line. Not sure how the composite steel blades compare price-wise to the other premium steels being considered.

Deep green (forest green, hunter green) G10 handle scales would be great, as would a deep pocket clip.

also, for those looking to reproduce the colors -

the darker blue is HEX 2F4456 (google it) and the closest Pantone is 7546. 533 is closer, looks off...

the lighter blue is 7BA3BE (again, google it) and the closest Pantone is 645. i've got this swatch and it's really hideous in sunlight.

darker is better.
 
Mostly repeating other people's thoughts, in my opinion, for 50 I would hope for a different blade steel. I love my skyline, with the exception of the pocket clip (don't know if I'd be able to sand down the g10 on a special edition). So a damascus blade, or a full flat grind premium steel would make me want to pay more. As it is is I like the orange handles, but I wouldn't buy it yet.. but then, I am not a kershaw collector... -hayes
 
I'm digging it, and I'd certainly put another Skyline in my carry rotation.

Blue is nice. Maybe a black clip? Either way would be fine though.
 
This thread has me jonesin' for a Skyline. I went to my local Walmart but unfortunately they don't carry them.
 
Is this going to be available to anyone or how can someone like myself hope to get one
without paying someone's reselling fees?

IMO, It would look great if it had a CF handle, DLC liners, S30V stonewashed blade, and low riding DLC clip. On the left side of the blade (not the clip side), have it say "Skyline" and on the other side of the blade have it say,

That would be IMO the coolest Skyline ever. :cool:
 
I definitely like the BF blue thats been mocked up, it's got my vote. When I said Blue or Ghost Jade in an earlier reply I was leaning more towards the muted grey-blue side of blue and away from the bright blues you see all the time so it's perfect if you ask me. I'm still heavily in favor of Stonewashing, DLC can be cool, but that Blue screams Stonewash. Again s30v or cpm154 is definitely alright by me. I think Composite would be okay too so long as it doesn't drastically alter the price.
 
I'll chime in again, blade steel is the most important part for me. I'd prefer M390, Elmax, or ZDP-189 as the steel, would be okay with the composite as well. I use my knives (except my Ti Tyrade lol) and this would be no exception. BF blue G10 would be okay, if available, if not I'd love to see some carbon fiber, or natural or jade G10.

What's the good news Spark?
 
definitely a low ride clip like the one on the 056X models would be awesome. This knife is sounding like a dream come true! Ive always wanted a Skyline in a blue with some upgraded steel. Def be in for a couple
