Both a buyer and a seller can play the angles. He may have sharply reduced his price Now his ad reads FF or add 3%. You might both recognize each other's feedback stellar history and everybody wins money wise. A buyer can request a 'discount' equal to a 'net' to the seller and the buyer gains an advantage. Price can be as listed including fees. I believe if no mention is made about fees the seller is assumed to cover them. Angles Angles.

Question I have is ,

Can a buyer cause a seller to get spooked if his listing says 'fees included'
And a buyer offers to pay via friends and family (full price) doing so because then the seller gains more $ from the sale.

My sense says all buyers who buy something from a foreign country is foolish to not use GS.
But for CONUS deals the question implies IMHO , Nothing except a kind gesture.

Never never NEVER EVER use friends and family to buy a good from someone that you can’t physically punch in the ding dong (like an actual family member). I bought a Strider SnG DGG a few years ago on another forum and used f&f. I got a box full of cold sore medicine. No BS. He said he sent a knife, I say I got a box full of BS. I was not covered. I could do nothing about it.

Not spooked, but if I say(which I do) payment by PP G&S(I pay the fees) that is what I want and that is what I will take. I don't take F&F and reduce or not reduce the price. If you send the money F&F it will get returned and I may just move on if you can't follow instructions.

This will likely get moved to GB&U

Seems it should have started there

Pay with friends & family, you are begging to get scammed. You will get no sympathy. You are scamming PayPal.

So from what I (dkb45)
see here is A member here is like a lonely heart scam ring's 'target list' candidate? Here's a fool that can be routed because he arranged paying via FF and trusts those he CHOOSES to trust.
Yep. Odd Odd Odd.

This,

I don't ever pay with F&F because I don't like to steal from people OR corporations and I have little respect for those that do.

Totally escapes me.

Don't accept F&F, either. Look in the Heath Helton thread to see why. He sent payments via F&F, then cried to his bank that they were fraudulent. His bank pulled the money from PP, PP pulled the money back from the sellers. PP covered the people who'd gotten paid via G&S, but not the ones who took F&F.

Sounds more like payPal wasn't interested in the truth.
How hard would it be to look right here for one, two times and discredit him? Firstly his bank, would have needed just PP to ACKNOWLEDGE the other side (BF's) membership.

One thing is for sure. GBU can be a deterrent since it is brutal. I'd like to think of a reality that goes like this. I bought a knife because I wanted the knife more than the money. And, traders (collectors) are a good lot of people, just honest and infact care about their reps.

For the banks AND PayPal to be successful just proves the point that, either their own security or some small effort from LEO's can not be a help to keep right from prevailing. Sad.

But then again. Why would a bank support PayPal on transactions that they did not collect fees on? Payola and politics with leaving traders n dealers out in the cold rain.

Why would paypal go out on a limb for people who violated their TOS, and evaded the fee? The people that obeyed PP rules, and paid the fee were made whole.
Agreed
PP offers a couple services within their G&S package
1 is the transfer of money
but they also offer an insurance service(buyer and seller protection)-don't pay the premium you don't get the insurance coverage. PP paid the G&S customers out of their own pocket.

So try to justify (tell me again) why PayPal can't prevent a 'bank charge back' when all that the bank SHOULD need is to be told in no uncertain terms that a BUYER using FF for a purchase is without recourse. Which is what PayPal claims is the reason to use GS and therefore get paid.
A bank should not have been ABLE to intervene which is Why forums are likely to make EBAY style rules S.O.P. And we all know where PP and Ebay have used their double dipping power.

A buyer is assuming the risk by using FF And this is the one and only way a FF user (buyer here) (seller off the hook seemingly) could scam the transaction. Banks and PayPal in bed together. Trust and kind gestures fall.

^ Wrong! When F&F is used, both buyer and SELLER are taking a rick. Lone_Wolfe explained and gave you the perfect example above, go read up.

I like these threads, I get to use the ignore feature.. :D

I read enough of that Balls thread to arrive at what I said. PayPal allowed the bank to let it (PP) screw the sellers out of their money and their property. That's it to a T.
