Usps sucks!!!!

I had an expensive package bounce from west coast to east coast where I live back and forth 4 times last year.

I watched it on tracking and still to this day cannot figure that one out. There was nothing wrong with the label or anything when it finally arrived.

Took over 2 weeks.

It has been very good here. In the past couple weeks things have been a day later than they say but I will give them that with it being this time of year.

Good luck, all!
For the first time, I have an incoming parcel, I do believe, lost.

My only issue with USPS has been this year, and specifically with my mail carrier. Packages smashed into my mailbox, even shoving letters out of the back door onto the ground and leaving them there just so he doesn't have to get out of his jeep to walk the package up to my front door.

I also had an issue on here where I purchased a knife on BF and the seller paid extra for signature confirmation... when I got home, the package was sitting on my steps. I contacted the seller and he checked the signature confirm, and it had been signed with some random name by my mail carrier.

Complaints have been made to our post masters in both states.

I'm just happy packages get to their destinations. Especially after Thanksgiving the post office slows down with mass holiday traffic but around here UPS and Fed Ex are jokes. And Fed Ex ground is being delivered by heathens in Uhaul rental trucks.

A friend of mine was passing down the road and saw a fella in a Uhaul digging in my mail box, so like the good friend he is with more balls than brains, pulls onto my road and blocked them in until he called me to come out to investigate. I'm pretty sure I arrested the guy before and now he's delivering packages. No thanks. I'll stick with the Post Office.

Nooooooooooooo..... Man. Here's hoping for the best

Isn't that illegal? Postal inspector will figure that out....

Good luck to all of you awaiting a package. I try to use UPS this time of the year but have always had good luck with USPS. I also require a signature when the item is over 100......for my area FedEx is the nightmare delivery company they have messed up several of my orders and are absolutely unprofessional in my area.

LOL. Well, stop using Uhaul to deliver your mail ;)

I guess I need to cut USPS a bit of a break, they are handling an enormous amount of packages. But still, fine cigars are expensive and perishable and that is the part that pisses me off.

Had to chime in on this. With 25 yrs as a Corrections Mail Inspector Supervisor, I have to deal with all the carriers. The Postal Service just does not cut it anymore. Most current postal carriers are only part-time or what they call casual (rural) carriers. They have little chance at full-time because the postal service is so top heavy with management they will not hire the actual people that do work. So most not all, are not happy with the job. I see there point, I know people that worked 14 yrs still part time and no benefits. Gravelface is so right about Fed EX ground. I do not think they have any type of screening practices for the drivers. A person just bids on a route then finds drivers. For what it is worth UPS is really the only way to go. One hundred dollars in automatic insurance, tracking number and signature(If you know the Driver, will leave on porch). This does cost, but better than refunding a paypal purchase. This is just my experience, others may have a different one.

Around these parts I haven't had any trouble with UPS or USPS. The one I have huge problems with is fed-ex. They're always late. Called them a bunch of times and always get lame excuses.

good points. I just mailed a watch Fedex next day with insurance. It was expensive but it went 1000 miles in one day. not bad

I ordered a maxpedition pack from California and it has been 5 days with the USPS and expected to be delivered on Saturday so 8 days priority service..... I ordered boots from California using UPS and its arriving today after 3 days. I guess some postal centers are backed up, but it is frustrating to wait around the busy seasons.

USPS has always worked well for me. UPS delivered a TV I bought online that was in the TV box from the store, so they knew what it was, and they left it at the top of my driveway without even knocking on my door and it was raining outside. Thankfully I got to it before the box was too wet and the TV was fine, but that one upset me a bit.

Yeah, I think everyone decided to order online this year. Items that would normally take 2 days max to deliver are taking well over a week. Oh well, I just keep reminding my self that these are first world problems.

Sorry to hear that Cobalt :(

Mind if I ask you what goodies you are expecting through your door?

Right? It would suck wondering if your kids get to eat tonight

Well one was a knife from the exchange, but more importantly 80 anniversary padron cigar boxes

I forgot to mention about the problems I have with UPS and Fedex finding my house...which I can't understand. The numerical is posted on the mailbox and house. I've been contemplating 2 foot tall numbers, back lit and possible strobe effects.

Same here and mine won't get out of jeep in bad weather. She leaves the sorry we missed you card even no I'm sitting there. One time we had fresh snow and she left that note while I was home I called post office and they said she tried to but no one came to door. I said how come there is no foot prints up my driveway and on porch to door bell?? Lol. He agreed and said he was sorry and she would be talked too.
