I called and left a message on his machine telling him about ordering groceries on line from Albertsons and Ralphs. I'll try calling him again later.

I believe the only grocery stores in Pahrump are Smith's and Super Wal-Mart. He likes Smith's. Don't know if they are online or not.

Actually there is an albertsons there on hwy 160 but I just called and they don't deliver. Bummer

We could send him a case of MREs, I wonder how difficult it would be to find a surplus store who would be willin' to donate something like that, considerin' how they have to rotate stock, and there's the issue of spoilage, which is a loss for them, ('cause they're not supposed to sell it after a certain date, it's still good just has a reduced shelf life) and finally it's a tax deduction for them.

It's win, win all around, now just gotta see if Dave'll eat MREs.

There are no surplus stores (military) in my area, which is surprising since I live/work in a military community. My office is about 5 miles from the front gate of the Marine Base in 29 Palms.

Someone else would have to find the mre's.

I just left Dave a message to see if he would even eat mre's. He'll probably call me back soon. Or he could already be tired to hearing my voice since I've left him one message so far!!!

Actually there may be some churches that would gladly help. Meals on wheels might see that he gets one hot meal a day also.... Any veteran groups in the area?
