Vampire Gerbil- Needs your support!

Man, when it rains it pours...I feel for VG. I don't know him other than this forum, but lately he's suffered so much. My prayers go out to him.

just saw this... Dave CHOOSE LIFE !!! as has been said you are loved here and elsewhere, don't be in a hurry to go to the next step bud. I will pray but you really need to want to come back bro. We miss you as it is!

UPDATE:

He is moving his left foot, movement in his hand and can turn his head. He is doing conciderably better. It was a message on my phone so all I have is that.

Looking a lot better than afew days ago. Keep them prayers coming.

VG, I too am remembering you and your family in my prayers.

With my very best wishes, Jeff/1911.

I’d like to thank all of you who have posted in both threads. Dave needs our support.

Today I went and saw Dave. His condition is improving somewhat. He has started breathing on his own but is still on a respirator about every two hours to keep his body from getting overly fatigued. The hospital staff is working on breaking down the blood clots that have formed and they seem to have made progress towards clearing his lungs.

Dave came around a bit and attempted to sit up. He also opened his eyes for a bit. I asked if he recognized me, he nodded his head yes and squeezed my hand. He also appeared to say something but since he is intubated it wasn’t audible. He also seemes to be regaining his gag reflex. These are all good signs.

Dave’s daughter has been with him constantly and appears to be doing okay. She is one tough kid. If she has time she may post this evening.

Thanks for keeping Dave and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Art, thank you very much for the update. I know that had to be one heck of a trip for you. I'm sure everyone is glad to hear Dave is doing so well. That is one tough gerbil.

Dave has got to be really proud of Allisha, what a girl.
