Agreed that the buyer is at fault for acting like a child. However, to say the seller was wrong in not sending the correct box is wrong. He never said it was part of the deal unless you have more information than the rest of us. That part has no evidence other than the ad and the fact that the buyer is an irrationally maniacal pest so there is a good chance he is not being truthful.
You said the seller screwed up by not sending the box with no evidence the box was part of the deal. Why did the op start this thread?
A box that was never in the deal as far as anything I can tell. Another thing that is common knowledge around here is ask your questions before you buy. Buyer has not shown he did that and nor does the ad indicate the box is included. And as far as I can tell the seller went above and beyond to rectify the problem so the if the buyer is not happy thing is null too.
Not sure why this is a point of contention. Until or if there is more evidence I'm inclined to side with the seller on the origination of this issue.
The contention is only yours.
Two points I made were:
- Buyer was unhappy with purchase
- Buyer handled subsequent activities poorly
Those two points were, in fact, spot on and require no speculation nor make any assumptions about facts that are not or were not provided at the time.
You, however, assumed that the buyer never asked about the box and papers.
You also assumed that the seller never mentioned to the buyer the box and papers.
Both assumptions later turned out to be incorrect. Perhaps it is a teachable moment for people here on the forum, or perhaps not.
