VTOKU Sprint Run

I received my from Knivesplus today and it too is perfect! My pre-order from SMKW also is on the way so it looks like I'll end up with two. I do like the FRN scale color which means this may be one of the few Delicas I own that may not end up with a custom scale.

I bet the Stretch will be the last one to drop since it is the only one I pre-ordered.:D
Yeah that's usually the way it goes for me too. So this time I ordered 3 models figuring one of them has to be close to first.

The color is blue-gray just like the description said it would be. In the user posted pics I've seen it looks more blue to me than it actually is. In hand it is actually blue-grey. It's kind of a weird color (in a good way). Next to a blue knife it looks grey but next to a grey knife it looks blue. Spyderco has some color trickery going on with this one. ☺

I get spam sales email from SMKW at least once a day... they're who I preordered the Stretch with... killing me.

Can't wait for the Stretch

Are these pretty much sold out everywhere? I'd like to pick up another backup Endura I love mine so much!

I'm surprised that there have been very few reviews of this steel now that the Endura and Delica have been out for a little while .
Maybe the silence tells a story ?
I have both , and have carried and used them at home and on the weekends .
The cutting tasks that have come their way havent really been any great test , so Ive decided to carry the Delica at work next week to really give it a Shakedown .
So far my only observation is that neither knife arrived very sharp and my normal sharpening treatment for a Delica or Endura resulted in a thin wire edge that needed eliminating which is something I've rarely had to deal with before .
So far Im not over excited with this steel , but the real test will be at work where Ive carried a Hap40 Delica bladed knife exclusively since they were released .
The Hap40 has performed brilliantly and I can only hope that this new fang-dangled steel has some atributes that impress me .

It could be that not a lot of people have gotten there hands on them yet.....I preordered mine with Knife Center back at the beginning of February and still haven't received it.

I've used mine pretty extensively so far and looks like it's been through the wringer already! Sharpens up real sharp, real quick and easy. It's easier to bring back to sharp than HAP40, but not Superblue. As for edge holding, mine has held a sharp edge longer than HAp40 or SB...

I think for a lot of us the release of the REX-45 knives has kept us pretty busy.

My delica wasn't all that sharp from the factory, but I used it and sharpened it on my edge pro. It got hair popping sharp pretty easy. Even at lower grits I was impressed. Went through the grits down to .25 micron at 13 DPS. I'm still using it like that and so far I'm more impressed with Vtoku2 than I am with hap40.

Great feedback so far! I'm going to use my Vtoku2 much more this weekend to see how it does. I have decided to put on some ghost green scales on one of them and keep the other with the stock FRN scales.

Last time I preorder from Knifecenter lol

I have the Delica, and the Steel/color combo are my favorite so far. Still wold like a SB - but this will do

I’ve carried a VTOKU2 Endura for about two months. I’m not a hard user, but I use it daily for something. I’ve developed a little patina from use, and other than keeping it dry, I’ve done nothing to prevent it from happening. It wasn’t screaming sharp as new. I feel that the bevels are plenty obtuse for the steel, but I’ve kept the factory angle and just touched it up on Spyderco ceramics. It does seem to hang onto the burr, but overall the edge holding is plenty good for me. I like the color or the FRN more than anything!

Spyderco must have manufactured quite a few of these as they are still easy to find. Either that or it is just not as popular as originally thought.

I carried my endura for a couple of weeks and one I figured out I must have had a wire edge and removed it, I’ve really enjoyed this steel. I haven’t carried it much since I sorted out the edge but it responds well to stropping and takes on a good patina.
