VTOKU Sprint Run

I ordered mine yesterday and I can’t wait to get it, this will be my first carbon blade since my old case xx knives

My VTOKU2 Stretch is "Someday". Its been on order since March 2nd and today I get this.
Dear Valued Customer,
This is a friendly note to let you know that your order is still in process. Rest assured that it is in good hands! As soon as your order is complete, it will be shipped right out.
I think I put my order in in January!
Can't wait for another Stretch...

OK ,

I've been secretly playing with this thing for a few days ( my beloved Delica's don't know )

A couple of observations .

This thing Patina's if you just " look " at it the wrong way .
I havent tried to force it , this is just from cutting fruit , opening chemical boxes at work etc , things I do with all my knives .
Strangely the stainless cladding on the blade has developed a slight bloom of patina , something that my other clad knives ( Hap40 , SuperBlue ) have never done ?
Is this cladding a different steel ?
It didn't arrive very sharp compared to my multiple delica's I've purchased over the years , I havent sharpened it , but it is nearing the point where it isn't acceptible anymore so it had better brace itself for some fine tuning .
Me being me it couldn't not get the " Blue screw " treatment , so that happened on day one .

Hi Ken,

The SUS410 cladding on my Delica WC has started to patina. I've only cut some cooked chicken with it so I was a bit surprised. None of my other laminated blades have any patina but I haven't cut any food with them either.

Well, I've been watching for months. Looked last night before going to bed. Now BHQ is sold out this morning. Anyone else have these in store? Is anyone wanting to sell a multiple at a not crazy mark up? Not happy. I've watched sellers like a hawk for months. (delica)
So much for BHQ's "notify when in stock" function. No email either.

The dealer in your link is safe to buy from. I've purchased from them multiple times without problems. They're a bladeforums supporter too.

So this one is OK?

I was lucky enough to score a delica from GP. (Got shipping notification)

I kinda feel like the dragonfly will sell as stupid fast as the rex-45 pm2.

The Delica line up is Awesome.

VTOKU,,,,DLC HAP40,,,SuperGold,,,,
and on and on

Can anyone comment on the 2 different pocket clips that this sprint run Delica comes with.

There are both black and silver finished ones? Is that usual that a sprint run, or a standard knife for that matter come with either finish pocket clip?

I don't know if I am exactly "qualified" to comment on the different clips, my suspicion is that Spyderco initially was going to do a black clip on these and then came to their senses and switched to a stainless clip.

Many props to DLT, I ordered my Delica Wednesday in the late afternoon, it shipped the same day and arrived at my place today! And it is awesome.

Cool color, solid lockup, even lamination line and sharp as a razor.

Ordered mine from GPKnives basically as soon as I got the e-mail that they were in and it arrived today. Very happy with mine, it's basically perfect in every way.

Well...almost 8 months after starting this thread I finally have a V-TOKU knife. So far so good!
