W.R. Case & Tony Bose Collaboration 2009 - Norfolk Wharncliffe

Funny how the Norfolk look remarkably like this knife.

God Bless

I noticed that myself kidwholaughs. That Rogers is a beautiful knife.

Seems as though "Norfolk" was used as a generic name for that pattern by other companies as well.

I'd love to have a case of those, please...thank you ;)

The Rogers posted is a swell center knife that looks a little bit like the Norfolk patterns in the old Joseph Rogers catalogs BUT the Norfolk is a swell OFF-center knife. :D Tony's knife has a way cool mini clip secondary blade.

Well..the hump's in the center but it's lop sided, or lop ended...AHHH HECK, IT'S DIFFERENT!

The Norfolk handle is reminiscent of this one too:

In this view, it could almost be mistaken for the Case/Bose at a glance:

Here are some of the original Joseph Rodgers Norfolk patterns -- if you enlarge the picture you can see that the blades are stamped "Norfolk Knife". Cuts most likely from a catalog circa 1890 or before (the blades all have the "Cutlers to Her Majesty" stamp). You can see the asymmetric shape in these, with the main blade end slightly larger. These came in all sorts of variations from two blades to many, and in all sizes (and that's not counting the Norfolk exhibition knife).

I will take a dozen of each of those....awesome print.

Has anyone had a chance to pickup an ebony case/bose yet?

zerogee, fantastic catalogue pictures thank you. Interesting to see that it's offered as a 3 blade knife too.
I've got to find a dealer who sends out to the EU that Amber Bone has been driving me mad for weeks...

Hey Kerry,

Looks like Tony's version has got all everything detail right and then some. How are you liking yours? I always wondered, How does the Case/Bose collabs like the Norfolk measure up to the custom slipjoints out there, (not counting the finishing)?

God Bless
