W.R. Case & Tony Bose Collaboration 2009 - Norfolk Wharncliffe

I preordered from Shepherd Hills and they still show the Ebony as backordered. I was told I was near the top of the list, so I don't think they have them yet.

I was told they are expected in sometime this month. Keep in mind there are only 200, spread out among the dealers. I wonder how many each got?

Imagine my surprise. I got home from work today and found an Ebony Norfolk waiting for me! They're here!

I've inspected this one from stem to stern and it's as nice as any knife I own. Well done Case and Tony Bose!

I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.

Nice pics Thomason. Looks just like mine! You are spot on, they are amazing.

Great Shots of that Ebony Norfolk...I have one coming in and am really looking forward to seeing it

I just got mine today and I can honestly say it is one of the nicest knives I have ever seen, let alone owned. This one puts my other slipjoints to shame. It raises the bar awfully high for me, which is a pretty risky thing as I'll never stop at just one...

Maybe it's because they aren't buffed to oblivion. :D

They are very nicely made, although I should say that I sent my Antique Bone Norfolk back with the Case artisan at the last event that I attended. I don't have pix of it but the spring positioned low at closed on both blades and really should have been better than that for what it is. I have standard production knives that are better tuned than that so I just felt they could do better. Everything else is perfect with the knife.

AAARGGHH! Just when I'm thinking of buying one, a bad spring gives me the frighteners Kerry!

I'm sorry to hear that. My spring lines up so well, you hardly even know that it is there. Maybe yours was made early one Monday morning? ;) Anyway, I have to stop gushing over this one and put it down. I just wish some of the earlier Case/Bose collaborations were a little more easy to find, especially for a guy like me trapped up here in Canada.

Well, after waiting for what seemed like forever, it finally arrived today, and with a little work on the grinder and alot of hand rubbing she is in me pocket.

It was then that the angels started singing...

Mine arrived today. Great knife. But...I have to say I like the ebony Arkansas Hunter better.

ETA: well, maybe not.
