I know I'm too late, but I would have voted for the NWA pattern with the drop point and the flat grind:thumbup: .

To remind everyone...... we have Spark's blessing as long as this is a "collaboration" and we can donate a knife to BF for Auction and I think Spark should get a knife for personal use as well.

So lets do our best to "collaborate" (compromising somewhat is a must) and will hammer out the knives to Spark later. Right now we are thinking a small % to the maker to make the two knives for Spark and BF to be donated.

i would vote for the scandi or woodslore type knife. flat or scandi grind make the dealers choice as to how deep a scandi grind you can get as the deeper the grind the better it is for wood carving.

I like a drop point!! But IF the group decides to make it a Woodslore or a Chopper.. Well, I guess I'll just have to BUY ONE and figure out what all the fuss is about!! :D

I really like the idea of 1095.. It's tough, and holds up to abuse. That being said, there are MANY people on this forum who are SIGNIFICANTLY wiser than myself in these matters.. I will defer to their judgement.

i would be in as well, depending on the looks. i have seen suggested orange micarta which i think is ugly personally. id like to see a wsk style be made and then i would be all over it.

Me too. Any tough, carbon steel is definitely the way to go.

Not only is it a "do it all outdoor" steel either will keep cost down in production, without forgoing performance.

BTW..... Tknife is the "man with the plan". This is his idea and I'm just along for the ride.
