W2 Tool Steel 2" Rd

Sorry to say; No more USPS flat rate shipping W2 to Canada or over seas. Still OK in the USA.

I just had to eat $112 on four 20 lb boxes to Canada because they
were 2 to 3 pounds over the 20 lb limit. This was on top of the $96 the customer paid for.

I can't get two 10 lb bars in a box without going over the 20 lb limit.

My PO never weighed these boxes and I have shipped many, but these four were weighed at the main Post Office
and called my PO and said no go, unless I paid the extra postage.

Solved the mystery of the overweight boxes. Been scratching my head,
trying to figure out what'sup!
Seems the W2 I've been cutting lately is 2-1/8" dia. and not 2" like I thought,
this adds about 1 lb per bar.

I have 20 or so of these 44 lb boxes to go, at the 40 lb price.
So if anyone is thinking of gettin some, this is a deal!

When these are gone, I'll start cutting the larger bars 10" long
to make a 40 lb box.

I should also be able to send W2 to Canada and oversseas by packing
17 or 18 lbs per flat rate box. Check with me for price.

Thanks Terry, will go out tomorrow...Along with a few others.

Have more 2-1/8" but will be cutting it a little over 10" long,
when the 2" is gone.
 
So when are you going to start selling "cookie" slices of the 4 inch round bar?:D
 
Got notice from the post office. I have to go pick it up. The slip says it's heavy and the box broke open. I think they broke the box open so they wouldn't have to carry it! Anyway, it has arrived and thanks!

Terry, glad it is there but sorry you have to go pick it up.
They are really required to deliver it and they would freak,
if I put the allowed 70 lbs in one of those boxes:eek:

Gotta keep the W2 thread on the front page :) I have 6 boxes of 2" W2 left.
Then will start with the 2-1/8".

i'm geting ready to pay you for one or more of my boxes. you by chance dont have any of thoes 44 pound boxes left do you wink, wink. what is the largest round size you have in W2. i love the huge stuff as i use the band saw at work to slice it up into bars. i just cut up a 6" round of L6 into 1" x .25" to .5" bars.
 
JT, sorry, the 44 pounders are all gone. I have 4 boxes of 2" left, then will move on to the 2-1/8". This is the largest I have.

Bill, I mailed yours last Monday, the 22nd I believe. If it doesn't show up tomorrow or the next day, let me know.

Bill, that's good to hear.
I don't think you will have anymore trouble, after that one they lost........
I hear the Postal Inspectors can be nasty :D
