Wal Mart tins!!

My local W-W now has a fully loaded aisle display with sporting goods Christmas specials - PRC-made knives abound - even in wooden gift boxes. Not even a place - or $30 sticker - for a Buck tin. Of well!

My stores say they have them and they'll probably have them out next week......and they said that last week.

I was able to talk with two department managers - including the one at the store where I was nearly attacked last Friday (He and the store manager were going to review the tapes.). The same thing came from both re the tins: they didn't sell, so whey went for PRC-made knives in $5/$10/$20 packs - even a wooden box - with Remington/Winchester names - and including a Leatherman-like tool. They expected no more types of sets, like the tins. In fact, they have no marked space for $30 items. If you find them, ejoy them. They weren't real positive re the entire Christmas season. Sad!

I spent about ten minutes on the phone with a sporting goods manager in a local Walmart last night. He checked his store for them and called me back after he was kind enough to check his computer to see if they were anywhere on Long Island, NY. I gave him the item number from the online listing. He could not find any in the local stores !!! I must give him a big compliment as he did look and called me back ....that is a lot to expect from a Walmart floor worker....

They have them in Oklahoma,my friend bought me one for my chistmas present, man i love her right now.LOL

I made the local Wally rounds today....none in central CA yet. I asked the lady who was working the Sporting goods counter about the tin can Bucks??? She was clueless and had no idea what I was talking about....But..I should have known better than to ask her anything....you see; at the end of September I bought a new 119 for one of my sons and that same lady was behind the counter. I asked her if there were any 119's and she said "NO". Then she looked and pulled out the wrong brand of knife...not even a Buck box!!! I said the Buck's are in yellow & balck box's and held up my hands letting her know about how long the box would be. To my suprize she pulls out a 119 and I said thats it!!! With an attitude she said...."Thats a 1902!!! Not a 119!!!!" She was referring to the Buck box printing "The measure of a Knife since 1902".....I just paid for the knife and left...those folks are clueless.

Went to both stores tonight and they had them, the first store i picked over
the display and got 3 really nice 110's, lots of color variation in the handles,

the second store didn't have as pretty handled knives, but i did find one with a date stamp, has anyone else found one stamped wrong?

I went to three Walmarts today looking for the tins...NONE...the last Walmart with guns on Long Island did not have them either......GEE !!!!!

Tom, I assume you're talking about one of the current Holiday 110's with a different tang stamp? Can you post a pic?
