WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

On the grenade/tank bbl. Only three possibilities: Breech open; breech closed/unloaded; breech closed & loaded. Only choice two would have left the crew/inside of vehicle undamaged...No more, please...Cheers.

Why would it be closed and unloaded for more than a few moments after the shot?

PS, thanks

Oh, undamaged; I see.

So you're saying that there grenade would detonate the shell and the two combined would be more pressure than the tank was designed for and fail??

I'm trying to get it.

For the record, I don't believe that

For every Action there's a REaction, not a simultaneous one.

If it caused the shell to fire at all, the grenade would still have to go 1st.

From the moment that gas Expansion occurs, the pressure is already being relieved.

I believe it would have an effect much more similar to a Primative shot Shell or any shrapnel bomb packed into a pipe.

The only way to test it, would be to actually do it..

But I'll quit taking to myself now and wait for someone else to come along and explain it to me.

That's another bothersome issue....love Daryl, and glad he isn't dead; but there's no way a dead human torso would stop rifle rounds like that, at that range...is there? He'd have had to have caught at least a couple of pass-through rounds.
That scene was really far-fetched. Those rifle rounds would have absolutely passed through the walker and in to Daryl. Every animal I've shot while hunting has had an exit wound, including big thick hogs, at a much greater distance too. However, I can't remember if the guns they were using were actually rifles or submachine guns (pistol ammunition) but even then, pistol rounds can sometimes easily pass through a human torso as well.

Even more unbelievable, and correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't Tyrese hiding behind some potted plants as a barrage of bullets were flying at him? And those potted plants were actually stopping every round?? Yeah, they really stretched it on this episode.

You guys are forgetting last season when the last surviving convict got killed while standing next to Carol.

She hit the ground with his dead torso in front of her. He just absorbed an insane amount of automatic gunfire. And he was skinny as Hell.

I'd also assume they were shooting military rounds which are always jackets and designed to fragment but often don't.
... actually just the opposite, they are designed NOT to fragment at all. Depending on the thickness and composition of the gilding material combined with the internal weight balance of the projectile you may see some yaw and fragmentation (often just breaking at the cannelure) of such a projectile in flesh or flesh like substances BUT certainly it is not something that can be considered the norm or a design characteristic. German MEN (or was it DAG) 7.62x51 had a reputation for yawing and snapping like this but more of an anomaly than design. M193 5.56 certainly “changed” direction in flesh better than SS109 (M855) as the later was mostly designed for penetration (hence the little lump of tungsten) over all else.

Explosion occurred inside....blast came out the hatch. If breech closed and loaded, it would have blown the cannon barrel. Only possibility, given what occurred, is breech open and grenade entered the crew compartment.

OK, sorry! No more, for real this time!

Why do we keep saying no more?

Wow! No new posts so far this year??

Well, tonight's episode featured several close shots of Daryl's Busse knife.

TWD has (sadly) become the best opportunity I have to take a nap, or go to bed early, on Sundays. Progressively more and more insipid, filler-filled and unimaginative :( . That really sucks, too, because I used to love and eagerly anticipate it! Now...I'm like "Well...it's either this or Glee reruns.". Tough decision ;) !

I would say Carol is protecting that creepy kid. She did say she would protect the children, take the blame and divert attention.
Ya that little girl definately burned those two people alive and Carol is taking the blame cause she feels guility for teaching those kids to defend themselves consequently turning them into psychopaths.

Hey, they had 2 different Team Gemini's in the same scene last night I beleave.... I would have to rematch the episode to get some *time stamps* But before any drinking goes on in this episode(3/2/14) Daryl is wielding a black handled Team Gemini to slay one zombie he seems to hide it right after and the whole time i'm looking for Beth's Tan g10 Team Gemini that shows up seconds later still in her sheath.
