WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

Thought last night's episode was pure crap. Just a lot of filler.. If you never saw it it wouldn't matter at all.

Sorry but I disagree.
Beth got kidnapped, and Daryl met the new villain in the show. Two whole new story lines introduced.
How is that pure crap?

How do you know Beth got kidnapped? All I saw was the car speeding away.. And ok, so all but 1 minute of the show was crap..

My guess is she would not have just dumped her bag on the ground to jump in a car. Not to mention it makes absolutely no sense to leave Daryl like that, did you miss that she is falling for him?

In a world of zombies I would imagine a lot of stuff gets dropped.. And it would seem he's falling for her too..

The Internet buzz is going on the assumption the Beth character was kidnapped in an attempt to introduce a new (potentially significant) character to the show.

Character and story development. I remember several issues of the comics that had no fighting in them, just plot progression. well see what they manage to pull off in the last 3 episodes of this season.

I hope that rumor is true. And I hope it's a character who turns out to be immune to the undead virus. That could easily lead to a great storyline for next season.

How would they know they are immune until they die? Others have been bit and whatnot and not turned.. Hershal.

Do you even watch the show at all? No offense, but your "pure filler" comment seemed odd. I'll admit, there is a lot of pure filler during this, the 2nd half of Season 4. Last night was a different story though. And now you're saying Hershel didn't turn?? Yeah, he did.

They showed it in the very first episode after the mid-season finale. Michonne returns to the prison to get a couple of new walkers as camouflage when moving through groups of the undead. She finds two new ones, cuts off their arms, removes their jaws, and ropes them up so they follow her wherever she goes.

However, while she's there at the prison, she comes upon Hershel's severed head. And we clearly see that he's turned. Michonne looks at his undead head for a moment before putting her sword through it, as she stabs downward.

There hasn't been any character so far who died, and didn't turn into an undead creature afterwards.... unless they were shot or stabbed through the head first. Yeah, Dale didn't turn. That's because he was shot through the head. But that was before Rick told the rest of the group that they and pretty much everyone else is infected. Dale was shot so he wouldn't suffer a very slow and painful death.

As far as characters finding out that they're immune, yeah; can be done without dying first. Someone gets bit on the arm. But they don't turn into an undead corpse. Simplest way to discover that one is immune. Perhaps they suffered another bite later on. Still didn't turn. Meanwhile everyone in their group who has suffered even a small bite, died and came back as an undead corpse.

Does anyone know how many season's there is going to be? I was under the impression that this was the final season, but with only 3 episodes left, it doesn't seem like it is ending anytime soon.

No clue. Though haven't heard any rumors that this is the final season of the show. The Walking Dead is one of the highest rated shows currently on television. In the U.S., each season has generated successively bigger and bigger ratings numbers. Seriously doubt the Producers are going to pull the BS that M*A*S*H did and just quit while on top.

more seasons and a new walking dead series set farther to the west with an all new cast and no relations to the original group. read that amc will release the new one some time later this year. to take the place of breaking bad and I think it was made men ender.

In an Apocolypse I would be falling for anything with a heart beat :)

The last two episodes were both a little weak IMHO

Maggie running out on her two companions made no sense

The new bad guy coveting Daryl's crossbow (worse choice of a weapon for that situation ever ) shows he is not to bright either :)

I know saying this about a Zombie show is a bit silly but it's getting kinda stupid

I don't remember where I heard that this was the last season, but I guess what I heard was totally wrong. Thanks all!

Maggie did not run on them, she heard Sasha talk about not going with Maggie, so Maggie left them because she did not want to ask them to help her. She said as much at the end.

I am not sure it was about the cross bow at all, he was referring to the fact that Daryl knows what he is doing, was not really about the cross bow.

I think he was referring to the leg bite that Hershel got and the reason they cut his leg off.

Infection needs time to fester and spread. Remove the limb quickly and the person only needs to survive the procedure. There is Romero precedent...Day of the Dead had a quick amputation, as well.
