WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

That wasn't Negan Daryl met. Joe, or whatever his name was, might be one of Negan's men, but I seriously doubt he was anything more than a representative of him. It's really lookin' like we won't meet Negan until season 5.

I think he was referring to the leg bite that Hershel got and the reason they cut his leg off.

Kinda wan't to say "duh"...but I posted up to date info. from most recent season. Those following the series are aware Rick acted fast to help prevent Hershel turning Zombie. But Hershel was obviously not immune, because once dead...his head became Zombie.

Please take no offense to the "duh"...I post quickly from my mobile devices in my free time and assume others do as well...plus written word is often easily misinterpreted.

Infection needs time to fester and spread. Remove the limb quickly and the person only needs to survive the procedure. There is Romero precedent...Day of the Dead had a quick amputation, as well.

Its a virus. They spread instantly though the bloodstream. That wouldn't really work.

Thank you mainaman, this is what I was talking about. If I actually watched the show..

Oh please. That particular member brought up a point that you could focus on, and give yourself an out regarding your comment about Hershel. Yeah, Hershel got bit.... and then a few seconds later the limb was cut off in order to prevent the virus from spreading. And that was apparently the main point you used??

Honestly, yeah you are making it doubtful if you actually watch the show.

Keep smoking whatever it is you're smoking, what the hell else would I have been talking about smarty pants?

Maggie did not run on them, she heard Sasha talk about not going with Maggie, so Maggie left them because she did not want to ask them to help her. She said as much at the end.

I am not sure it was about the cross bow at all, he was referring to the fact that Daryl knows what he is doing, was not really about the cross bow.

When you leave someone with out telling them ......... You ran off on them

Guy did admire the crossbow and If Daryl new what he was doing he would not be using a crossbow to fight hordes of zombies :)

Anyone ever notice that Daryl's crossbow has no sight just a scope rail

Weak

OilMan:

....what the hell else would I have been talking about smarty pants?

Let's see.... Bob's journey from utter loneliness, isolation, and despair comes to his complete redemption as a human-being by the end of the episode. He finds his redemption. While at the same time, Daryl may have lost his; when he lost Beth. Evident when he hooks up with John, and is in danger of going back to what he was before the Undead Apocalypse. (Oh yeah, Beth got kidnapped. In case we simply gloss over that rather significant plot twist.) For the ones demanding more action.... Battling the Undead in a blinding fog. Battling the Undead in a funeral home embalming room. Battling the Undead on top of a pair of cars, along with chopping their heads off with a street sign.

But yeah, yesterday's episode was nothing but "pure filler." :D

I don't smoke, but in fairness I could ask you what you've been injecting into your arm. As for what you've been talking about, clearly; not yesterday's episode that's for sure.

I like giving other members the benefit of the doubt. But yeah, you've made it blatantly obvious that an open and honest discussion regarding the show, its aspects, its short-comings, what they've gotten right, its plot-points, etc; none of that is clearly what you'd like to talk about.

Honestly, no joking, no sarcasm; thank you for making it obvious.

You can have the last word regarding our discussion. I don't care about something as silly as that. I'll stick around the topic though since there are other members who actually want an open and honest discussion regarding the show, and they don't leave out important details such as Hershel had his leg immediately cut off so he wouldn't turn into an Undead corpse, after yes; having been bit.

In high school, a Dutch classmate of mine for three nights straight, used to stab the very same fellow student with a large Made in Pakistan copy of a Western V-49 Bowie knife. Hell, I bought it for him to use on that student.

All of the above is 100% true!!

Oh. but I left out a couple of minor details while trying to prove my point that the Dutch classmate is a psychotic monster. After all, I just wanted to prove I was right. I guess it doesn't matter at all that the stabbings took place on stage, during the school play, over the course of three nights. The knife had a rounded tip and was dull as a butter-knife. After all such details might not support my claims.... Just like Hershel getting his bite-infected leg immediately cut off so he wouldn't turn into an Undead corpse might not support your claims that there have been characters on the show who have been bitten or died, without turning.

But why bother with the little details. Right? ;)

LOL. So you're like one of the Star Trak geeks who thinks he's the end all be all fountain of tv show info. Doesn't bother me if that's your life..

I really am enjoying this season! I like how all of the characters have been separated. It really gives you no choice but to get to know them each individually. It gives you a little more insight to why they act the way they act. Only three more episodes left this season! That makes me sad. . . . But then again I know that the next three episodes are going to be amazing!!!!

They all already have the virus; so it wouldn't matter if it spread. What I'm talking about is a festering infection which will kill you; then you turn from the virus.

Not all infections have the same level of power. Think MRSA as an example.

Obviously it does bother you. You are spending an awful lot of time talking about something you ostensibly don't like or consider worthy.

Oh, and next time, spell Star TREK correctly, if you're going to put the word "geek" after it......it comes across a little less "end all be all black hole of TV show info".

I do not like that the characters have been separated. I am not a big fan of some of the characters and having to sit through a whole episode involving those characters just to keep current with the plot is sooooo boring.

Next you'll be saying Darth Nader didn't really whoop a Borg named 8 1/4.. :-)

This would have been funnier if you had said "Bork" or "Berg".......

If you're going to do it, Oilman, go all out!

I've seen grown men about to throw down over a debate on what would win, a Star Destroyer or the USS Enterprise.. you guys don't scare me. :-P
