Walking Dead Season 5 (HEADS UP: Possible Episode Spoilers May Be Posted Within)

I love how different the show is from the comics, I'm sorry, graphic novels. It's flat out crazy how different. But, I'm finally glad I know a little of what's going on.

WARNING THIS IS A POTENTIAL SPOILER (depending on how closely they follow the source material)

Aaron is the gay man that Kirkman teased in Talking Dead earlier this season. He is from a safe-zone which is part of a trading system with a few other communities. He's actually an interesting character, in my opinion.

I'm hoping that his introduction will eventually lead to Neagan, especially the All Out War story arc (if you thought The Governor was evil, than Neagan is gonna make you rethink what true evil is. Dudes friggin insane, and to be honest, a little too dark and rough for normal television). It'd really shake up the group and the way things work in the post-apocalyptic world they live in.

But that's just speculation and my fan-boyish hopes.

the last two episodes were lame in my opinion

all these near minute long facial-expression views all the time... getting really annoying - kinda like in first the lord of the rings film where they would show frodos facial expressions all the time - but as opposed to tlotr a twd episode is too short to just be filled with that emo bs...

i dont like these filler-episodes where almost nothing happens just to squeeze out more episodes

i watched every episode of twd btw and i usually really like it

When I first saw it, I thought it was a "dream sequence" because it abruptly ended and switched to them peacefully sleeping on the floor! Then when Maggie walks outside and the trees are down and some walking dead are impaled on branches, it dawned on me that it wasn't just a dream. But it was a lousy transition!! Very confusing after the dream sequences of the last episode. Now you don't know what is "real" and what isn't!

It seems to me that they are now bringing a more religious aspect to the show. The rain coming at the perfect time, the tornado missing the barn and killing all the zombies and then the broken music box playing just when the new guy showed up. I wonder if we will be seeing more of the miracle type events next week.

Zomnado!!!

Actually kind of surprised Sci-fi hasn't done it, yet...

...the tornado missing the barn and killing all the zombies...

Oh, that's what happened... I thought it was a dream or something... was wondering why there were walkers all in the trees and stuff. Damn I'm dumb. If it was an earthquake I bet I would have gotten it ;)

I liked the "we re the walking dead" speech, I think it's been proposed before that the show's title meant the survivors. Kinda slow last couple shows, but I guess they can't all be zombie hacking, guns blazing 'sodes. They have to show other harsh aspects of being in a post-apocalyptic world, just hope it starts picking up now!

Well, hopefully an even better episode will begin in a few minutes!

Sadly, not to be. It was mainly filler. Though fans of the comic must have soiled themselves when Rick finally said those iconic words.... "We are the Walking Dead."

However, the context was completely different from when that iconic moment took place in the graphic novel.

I'm betting that those dogs belonged to this guy. Also betting that his gang call themselves "the Wolves" and that they are the ones who pillaged Noahs neighborhood. How does he know Ricks name though? Maybe he caught Morgan?

There's a good chance that Mr. Friendly is a member of "The Saviors." (Which is definitely not a good thing for the group [especially Glenn]).

Writers have been known to rely on an old trick.... Introducing characters who have vast knowledge that in real life, they never would. Such as knowing personal names of other characters and other personal info. Later, this is explained away in some sort of way. Often involving spying on those characters. Should be interesting to see how it's explained away.

As for Morgan, they promised a character from a much earlier season would return in Season 5. Everyone speculated it had to be either Morgan or Mireles. The Producers never promised us more than a crappy cameo.

That Neagen sounds interesting!!!:D:thumbup:

It's Negan. And his introduction was speculated to take place sometime in Season 6.

Though his weapon of choice, a barbed-wire wrapped wooden baseball bat, did make a cameo appearance in the tail half of Season 4 over by the railroad tracks when Beth lost it and began openly weeping.

I also thought it was a dream sequence, very poor transition. Not really plausible that the tornado would leave the barn completely untouched, but I guess when I'm watching a show about zombies I can't complain too much about stuff being believable. ;)

:D:D

:D:D

I little out there but I have seen first hand where a tornado completely levels one house but the house 20 feet away has almost no damage at all. Used to have a pic of exactly this from a tornado in Lenoir City TN several years ago. Also the path through the woods reminded me of one in Morgan county a couple years back. It did not hit any structures but path though the woods looked exactly like it did in the episode.

Say no more!!!:D But thanks for giving us a little light at the end of the tunnel.;)

No problem!! Keep in mind though that's since it's sooooo drastically different (Sophia and Andrea are still alive, Carol and Judith are dead) it's just my two cents on the subject.

That's an interesting observation, considering most of the group has identified as non-religious, and those who are have a habit of dying off, maybe Gabriel's essence is going to safe guard the group in some way.

All I know is it was awe fully convenient of the rain and tornado to happen when when, where, and how they did. The music box was just weird...
