Walking Dead Season 5 (HEADS UP: Possible Episode Spoilers May Be Posted Within)

Why do they always just walk right up to thd front door? Sit back and observe from a distance for a minute. I mean how many times has just walking in worked out for them?

To be fair, half of them tried the back door at Terminus after watching for awhile. Still didn't work out. I assumed the Glock in the blender was out of the Terminus play book, but the J on the grip seemed significant enough. But I agree that this place seems like trouble. Maybe Rick should've left Carol with the Glock...

I agree with stashing some weapons like they did before entering Terminus, and I think I'd have wanted to leave Daryl and Carol as a minimum "outside" the compound as a backup just in case. Since the new guy "recruiter" had been observing them for a while and knew who all was in the group, Rick would have to arrange things with Daryl and Carol "privately" so they could make a production of not wanting to go with the group to the "compound" for the benefit of the "recruiter". After their experiences with the Governor and at Terminus, there is no way I'd trust this new group! Not even if I did hear children playing inside! There were kids with the Governor too!!!! And about the time someone wanted me to "disarm", I'd be telling them NFW!!! I guess I'm just the suspicious type. You have to EARN my trust through your actions and not just words.:D

I'm with you on the disarming! If the folks behind the walls already know of Rick's group then they should trust them enough to keep their weapons. Mutually armed is more comforting than only one side.

Ha Ha, I was thinking "GFY, We're outta here" when he asked for the guns.

I haven't read the comics, but I don't trust this Aaron guy for a second...too many fluffy unverified stories.

I DO like the way this episode was directed! Hopefully this director will get more episodes and turn this show back around. It was like they borrowed a director from VIKINGS.

That big Caddy, mashing through the herd of walkers was my favorite part of the season so far but the whole time I was thinking "Hit the damn windshield wipers, dummy!"

+ 1 on this. Guess they didn't for added drama. I must admit the show's loosing me.

Zero chance of me handing over my weapons. You keep yours and I will keep mine. Evens the playing field.

Why no one at the gate to meet them? No people in the pics? Something definately wrong with this place.

How did Michonne go from a woman who cut of her fiances arms and half his face and took him for walks like he was a dog, to someone who is such a wimp? Liked the old Michonne much better. I understood her.

I think she is tired. She wants a place to rest, maybe live a "normal" life. Her reaction to the fact that Aaron had his own house was telling. She is the voice of reason right now. Rick is becoming a bit unhinged.

I know what the "J" stands for

Rythes with thunk and clunk

Like the sound of them hitting the ground

 I agree completely. She may be getting tired now and wanting to settle down in a secure place, but I like the "old" Michonne better and understood her better!:)

I think that Michonne has a huge soft spot for Judith and wants her to grow up in a safe spot more than anything. That and she's seeing the group turn into what she was when she was out on her own. One thing's for sure is that in the last few episodes she has made sure to tell Rick what's what and he doesn't back talk her. Lol! I think that she has actually been more of a group leader that he has lately.

The playing field doesn't need to be even - their community offers something to the group, more so than the other way around. If this were a relationship where everything was 50/50, then I would agree with you. But they don't have to let them in if they don't want, and I don't blame them for making them surrender their weapons first. And clearly Rick agrees since not only is he agreeing to it, but it's always been his own policy when it's the other way around.

I'm just as pro-2A as anybody else, but I wouldn't let some stranger off the street come into my home and be around my family while carrying. Especially in TWD's world.

They all need a rest, giving Kirkman more time to develop some more evil for down the road.;)

If they follow the comics, we'll have to sit through a season or so of a dragging storyline before hitting the ground running on the other side. It's absolutely worth it, though.
