Walking Dead Season 5 (HEADS UP: Possible Episode Spoilers May Be Posted Within)

Keep an eye on Carol! She was careful enough to give Deanna a total B/S story about herself when interviewed, and had told Rick that even when he's wrong...he's right.;) And Daryl is staying cautious and staying alert, not trusting the set-up.

Was the glock from the blender the one that the lead runner gave to Glenn?
..

I don't think so. I thought Rick stashed a Glock in the Blender and the lead douche gave a lame 22 target pistol to Glen and a FN 5.7 to the female.

I thought that was rude. they give up some sweet hardware, and get some junk when the need to go back out again.

My Nighthawk 45 would have stayed with ME!!!

Did anyone else notice that Alexandria's walls seem to be built more for keeping things in...instead of keeping things out? Shouldnt those steel support braces be on the inside of the fence? I kept getting a weird feeling about that everytime they showed them.

I'm betting that the architectural engineer that headed up that project wouldn't have made a mistake on something that simple. Something ain't right.

It may be due to the fact that they are shooting scenes in an actual community with residents, as opposed to just another set built in the country.;)

It probably doesn't matter which side they're on because the "steel plate" walls that they are so proud of look an awful lot like regular ol' barn tin to me. Haha!

....spot on:thumbup::thumbup:

....as far as Daryl is concerned..... You ever seen a cat, the moment before he bolts or pounces? That's what he looks like.

I like the observation. Daryl is awfully cautious about it. I wonder what his "job" will be. Also anyone catch the sneak peak for next week? Looks like Sasha got kicked out, but it's to early to assume...

Lady looks too sweet. Shoot her in the face and move on.

+1 on that. She looks a lot like Mary from Terminus. Same age range, same general supposedly nurturing, motherly type.... Kill her now! Hell, she admitted to Rick she used to be a politician and is great at manipulating people to get what she wants! Fricking kill the liar NOW!!

Carol was the only smart one. "Yeah, here's my B.S. story for your camera. I'm just loveable, harmless Carol. Please give me a job tending to the children and the elderly." Then she dresses up like Mr. Rogers! Did anyone else notice that! She dressed up as Mr. fricking Rogers! Harmless Carol, just going to her job. Even told Daryl to take a shower in order to keep up appearances. Very smart.

And what the Hell is up with this community? I think Rick and the group already outnumber them. Where the Hell is everybody?! I think you need more than 9 or 10 people to qualify as a "community." Something ain't right with that place.

Thumbs down for Rick shaving off his beard. Thumbs up for him keeping the option open of taking the place from this weak-as-Hell "community."

Some good images of Daryl's prop Gemini knife in this episode. Looks like $#!@. Speaking of knives, the group had to turn in their weapons, but got to keep their knives, machetes, and Michonne even got to keep her sword. What the Hell?? If I was Rick, I'd take over now. That was a crappy weapons confiscation!

As for the missing Glock Rick hid, kinda obvious that Carl's near future love interest took it after climbing over the wall right in front of Carl and Rick's new house.

I want to see Carol do some killing while dressed as Mr. Rogers.

Carol knows enough to keep a low profile, and ready enough to do what's needed for the group to survive.;)

Carol is definitely playing the part of a den mother in need of protection. Right off the bat when they were handing over their weapons she acted like she was having a hard time unslinging that rifle off of her shoulder. Like she was more of a helpless pack mule for the group than a zombie killin' bad ass who's more than capable of saving the group on her own if need be.

Amen to THAT! After all, she not only survived when Rick expelled her from the group, but saved the group at Terminus!;)

Like I wouldn't have kept a Baby Glock/.38 Snubbie in my pocket; belt; boot, etc. They did not even do any sort of body search for weapons. Why even surrender ANY weapons? The group seemed to have any security force outgunned. Why impose gun control, Ms. Politician?

And yes, I only could account for maybe 10 -12 (?), residents of this community. And...should have hidden more firearms outside of the joint.

ETC...ETC...It's TV. Its not perfect.

As Sherlock claimed "the game is afoot!" At least this season is turning out to be more interesting than the first episode indicated...;-)

so im guessing the "J" on Rick's glock was nothing more than a marking so that he (and we) could identify who stole it when it turns up... I had thought initially maybe he put the J on there to remind him of his daughter (Judith) for when he has to push through some tougher SHTF moments.
... so who took it? I don't think it was Carl's girl.

I watched the show twice last night and the Talking Dead. Something still just doesn't seem "right" about that community. The best part of the entire show was when Glenn decked the ROTC a-hole son of the ex-Congresswoman and Daryl went after his brother! Supposedly these people have been "inside" their walled planned community since the beginning, yet appear to have very lax security procedures and don't seem to know what they are doing "outside" the walls. We really haven't seen very many people yet. I wondered too about taking everyone's firearms, but leaving them with their knives, the katana, and the crossbow! Uhhh???? Does not make much sense to me.

Personally, there is no way I'd have given up all my guns when THEY invited Rick and the group to come in. Rick's group did not show up and ask to be let in, they were sought out and invited to come to the community. And asking them to turn in their guns but not the crossbow and sword and knives just does not make any sense???? Most of the previous seasons have seemed "logical" given the world they are living in. This part of the season does not appear to follow any "logic". Something just isn't right!!!! Either that, or the writers are screwing up! Gonna be interesting the next few episodes.:D

Considering: 1. it was probably a Gub'mint job, 2. It's close to D.C. 3. It's run by a former U.S. Senator...

I'd reckon it's a wonder that it even is as well built as it is...It would be more realistic if panels would have been totally left out, some buried vertically, some standing at 90 degree to normal, some sections 1 foot tall, etc., etc.

Now THAT would be a true Government community engineered by committee!!! :p

But seriously, the bracing idea is not that bad of a design...it would still be effective against pushing from the outside especially if those braces are anchored to buried pylons...plus it would give more room for an inner wall / fence to be cleanly erected...

A bigger mistake is the seeming lack of patrols and no obvious stronghold or keep inside the community...

Seems to me upon reflection, the Alexandria community was not / is not fully finished...just my 2 cents :o
