Walking Dead Time!

Was cool how Talking Dead showed Daryl using the bare TG handle for the stab Merle in the head scene. Then showed the CGI blade stabbing.

This must have been the "Fingers Episode"
Glenn ripping off biters fingers for ring, and the Govenor biting Merle's fingers off.

Another Awesome Episode. RIP Merle, you will be sorely missed by all. Loved how your character came full circle. You truly did redeem yourself and I loved how you never backed down.....!!! I SOOOO Hope Daryl is the one who takes out the Governor...!!! Or, they all corner him and they all take a shot at him because he has taken from them all in one way or another. Again, RIP Merle

Ha! I totally called Merle dying and turning into a walker then Daryl having to kill him. Don't know why but I saw that coming a mile away. I can't wait for the show to get them on the road again. The stupid war is boring. The show is about ZOMBIES!!! At this point the audience doesn't even care about zombies.

The final scene where Daryl killed Merle was powerful. Not what I expected and great that Merle's character redeemed himself..

A lot has to happen in the last episode. Can't wait..

For the weirdest reason, I felt horrible when Merle died! I mostly feel bad for Daryl I think =) Another awesome episode. I can't believe there is only one more episode left this season! =(

Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, and David Morrissey are awesome actors. There should be a lot more "bad" people on the show. They're phenomenally more interesting and well-written than the central "good" guys.

The trend I see is that the good guys keep doing things that frustrate us: go crazy seeing visions of dead wives; mess around with walkers and cause them to kill guys named Dale; mope around and keep on ruining people's hopes of her hooking up with Daryl; deny the governor's craziness and sleeping with him; spontaneously sing songs at the most silent, random, awkward moments; etc.

Even Daryl and Michonne aren't so interesting (I dare say it) when you compare what Shane, Merle, and Philip all went through plotwise. Daryl and Michonne kind of just show up and are awesome from the beginning, but they don't get much evolution or buildup. Daryl appears dirty and haggardly with a bunch of squirrels and a crossbow, and Michonne slices off a zombie's head with a katana, cloaked, with two mutilated walkers chained to her. Or maybe that's why we like them: they are whom they have been from the beginning, and we admire their stability and badassery, or we have some sort of wish fulfillment thing going on .

Anyway, this season is awesome. So much stuff going on, even the comics can't keep up with this. I bet the boring episodes would've been less boring if there hadn't been a week of waiting before and after them; in hindsight, however, everything is cutting together nicely.

Great episode. I was really hoping Merle would survive this season but I'm not surprised. I'm really bummed to see him go. Can't wait for the season finale. I wonder who else will bite by next week.

I do think the fight between the governor and Merle would go differently. Merle would have at least done more damage, I think he would have taken him out with him. Crazy is hard to kill. But it's TV.

well, i have to say i'm quite happy with this episode. It's a nice change from the somewhat dragging pace of the last few. Merle dying was a bit of a surprise, but he did take 8 guys with him. Not a bad score.

Having Daryl kill him really made the whole thing a lot more emotionally charged. Part of me wanted to see Merle die, and part wanted to see him turn around and rain death down on the bad guys... i got both in a very short amount of time.

The biggest mistake Merle made was not waiting to make his FIRST SHOT the one that kills the governor. He could have ended this mess with a few well placed shots at the governor and his higher placed soldiers

Poor strategic judgment? Well, he was pretty hammered by that time. I'm surprised he didn't just fall asleep on the ground after ditching from the moving vehicle. I know I would've. Mmmm soft dirt and whiskey

The whole fight between Merle and The Gov was the only real flaw of the entire ep to me. I agree Merle would (and should) have at least gotten a few hits in on the The Gov. Granted Merle did get the crap kicked out of him by 2 of The Gov's henchmen but still I think Merle should have gotten a few hits in.

Assuming the whole Woodbury/Prison arc ends next week, I wonder who will be the one that finishes The Gov. While I would like to see Daryl or Rick take him out, I kinda think it will be either Andrea or possibly Milton.

I'm also curious who will get to kill the governor. I think the front-runners for that duty are either Andrea or Michonne, and Maggie or Milton a close second.
But in all honesty, I don't think the writers will allow one person the glory....I think he'll be eaten by walkers one way or another. Just my gut feeling.

I laughed my ass off when he stabbed Meryl in the head. I had anticipated it since he kept pushing him back a couple of times, so I figured hes either gonna run away or just go crazy on his face, which he did. I knew he wasn't gonna put an arrow in his head. LOL

I am curious to see if the Daryl character changes after this episode. Seems like he was one of the few characters that had not really suffered a personal lose yet. Other than maybe Sophia, he seemed to remain fairly numb to the other deaths in the group.
