Personally, I have no beef with Walking Man, nor any ill will towards him...
But with that said, concerning the FS post, I can't really see how some here can defend his action. He:
Listed his Desert AA for $100 LESS... Even if he said that "to be fair" he wouldn't sell it until Raden sold his... WHO in their right MIND is going to buy the first one, knowing that there's another for $100 less that will be available as soon as the first sells????
He linked the other sale thread to his own... In effect, 'hijacking' the sale.
Had he just listed his, no rules are broken. If he didn't want to take away Raden's sale, he could have listed his for $100 than the more than the first, and after the other AA sold, would have had a few free bumps every time he lowered the price... Or he could have just waited to list his... Really, what was he thinking???
Do I think that Walking Man should have walked the plank for this alone? No... But apparently, there are other reasons, and this obviously pushed him over the edge.

He got what he had been asking for, for quite awhile now.

Its NOT just the single incident! Havent you read whats been said about his tyrade a couple of weeks ago??? He slowly built his bed, its not one single incident, not by a long shot.
IF you've got a strong stomach, go to whine n cheese and the Pirates cove, do a search, you'll find plenty of disturbing behavior, and the worst foul mouth I've seen in quite a while.

I think a good decision was made.
I do not understand how allowing someone to hijack another persons for sale thread and use that persons picture to sell an identical knife should be something we let happen here.
He could have put his knife up for sale without the hijack and the drama with no problem. The way he chose to do it was not right. Put yourself into the person whose thread was hijacked and whose pictures he used and you might actually see that the action was something that we should not tolerate.

The guy wanted to be banned. W&C is supposed to be a BIT insulting, but wow, he took it to a whole new level. Seemed to go off the deep end.
I think he just wanted to reach 10000 posts before being banned. Oh well, sometimes a banning makes people more polite.

He's been on a rollercoaster since he joined. When he first joined he was abrasive and loudmouthed. A bunch of long time Hogs trounced on him and he drew back a lot. For quite a while he was in and out of trouble. The last couple of weeks he has started so much trouble that he was literally hanging on by his fingernails. This was just the literal straw, quite simply.
I realize that W&C and PC is a place to blow off steam, but there are limits, and soundly offending people, even friends, is just too much. Trying to steal Raden's sale............ well, ya know.

Not only was he hijacking someone else's sale thread, but his "I won't sell mine until his sells" thing was a little crazy.
All he was really doing was saying "Email or PM me behind his back for the same knife cheaper"

I think this action alone makes it all a moot point now. The guy is acting in character for a serial ban-me kind of guy. If he wasn't bannable before, he is now.

Walking Man's behavior was a bit more reined in on the Busse subforum... for the last year or two. It was a bit dramatic and over the top before. He often took the little tongue-in-cheek Swamp Rat / Busse intracompany rivalry way, way too far. That said, I never had a beef with him - even completed a couple of successful transactions. He and I did exchange a couple of PMs three weeks ago regarding some posts of his... and my ensuing ones.
He left a bad taste for many after his airing of domestic problems with his spouse on W&C. To say his decisions and outlook were contrary to the average BF poster would be a bit of an understatement. We all vent but sometimes one gets some insight in the venting of another that leaves a lasting impression.
The most recent roller coaster slide for Walking Man began here... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=502339 and continued into other unnamed areas. If you're a paying member, do a search for Walking Man posts.
Should someone be banned for the Sale Thread that, IMHO, was in poor taste at best? No... if that was the beginning and end of his infraction-worthy posts. It wasn't. Walking Man wanted an online persona of brash and in-your-face. I am curious, was he like that in person??) He wasn't allowed to get away with it on the Busse subforum and took his roadshow elsewhere where he didn't find his desired audience... or did he?
Others have given the reason why this clause if crap and a cop out. I won't rehash it.

It was a crappy thing to see. The man obviously holds dear that part of his identity associated with Busse knives and Busse users/collectors, and now, the most popular outlet for that fellowship is cut off to him. Part of what I tried to tell him in a couple of posts was that the rants and showboating weren't helping his reputation across all the forums here. Like the now infamous robot cannon, however, he just didn't seem to have a kill switch. Despite repeated warnings and requests, he forged on with his walk down the plank. I have to agree with OldPhysics on this one. He sure seemed to want it.
Added: On a hunch, I just cruised over to the Busse home forum. While a cool forum in its own right, it just doesn't see the same traffic as the Busse forum here. Sure enough, Walking Man showed up as the most recent visitor--no doubt to see if anything had been said about him there.

It Was only a matter of time. He has been an azz for a long time, longer than many have been members. I am not surprised. I never like to see anyone get banned, but like Cliff, when you are playing in someones backyard, you have to play by their rules.
