For some reason "I blame ManPaddlingPork" does not have the right ring to it.

I’m saddened by his departure and I hope he can get back in by adjusting his behavior. He knew a lot about Busse Knives and I’ll miss him for that reason.

Yeah, I had some hopes he might still make it to 10,000 with more legitimate, less troll-like posts. The best thing would be to come clean, apologize, and ask for forgiveness, at least for the final post that got him banned. Somehow, however, given the tone of his last posts in W&C and elsewhere, as well as his stance toward many moderators here, I don't think that's going to happen. Certainly, trying to sneak back in didn't help his chances of reinstatement.

He has a lot of old-school Busses and a fair deal of knowledge about the knives. Pity really that he won't be sharing this knowledge on the forums.

I certainly cannot... I went to bed last night rather PO'd about this 'hijacking'... Decided that if I felt the same way when I awoke, I would do the same, but didn't want to jump out of anger. This morning I went to report, but found it very unnecessary by then... So you should not feel badly at all.
 
My guess is that he is probably a nice guy that went through some trying times and didn't handle it very well. It was probably me that he disliked the most (maybe Gig), but even so, I harbor no ill will towards him. Hopefully he can get his act together, and possibly make a return to Bladeforums.

Outside of the Busse forum. . . .Walking Man has been an asshat for 2+ years and failed to restrict his antics to W&C. Do a search.

Lately, he's been tapped by the mods for several of his stunts. Evidently, he thought he was bullet proof. He definitely isn't shark proof ! :D


I pray he isn't allowed to return !

Ed clearly needed attention for one reason or another. I'm usually game when it comes to troll baiting, but I held back on Ed because I knew he had redeeming qualities.

Honestly, despite all the antics, I hope he gets things straightened out in his (real) life, gets his head on straight concerning BF, and is eventually reinstated.

Perhaps I'm overly optimistic though...
 
I dont know what took so long to ban the guy. I mean really, in this day and age everyone should have a digital camera to post pics of their knives, he used a scanner. :p
 
I think that wm, for whatever reason, was just trying to stir up trouble. Don't matter what the problem a person has, no reason to do that in a place that's intent is for entertainment, education, socializing, ect. Just sayin'.

Do you think you might let him back in long enough to give away that Busse he was talking about when reaching 10,000 posts? If you don't, can I at least have his post count?:D:D:D:D:D
 
Huh! Walking Man banned....go figure.

I have to say that I have no ill will towards Ed whatsoever. He was always polite and repectful towards me. His posts on the Busse forum were occasionally "off the wall" and even at times a little on the "different" side but I always considered the source. Some of them were flat out hilarious. I darn near spewed on my keyboard when he stated "that makes about as much sense and a bunny with a pancake on his head" with a picture of...sure enough a bunny with a pancake on his head. Yes Ed is one of those guys that we refer to as being different and quirky, but then maybe that's what I liked about him. Not your "cookie cutter" type of person, at all!

With that being said, I have to admit that Ed seemed to disappear for awhile from the Busse forum and when he came back he did seem a tad more than just "different". I got the sense that something had harden him, he seemed more abrasive and a little more challenging towards others. Having checked out some of the links that were provided in this thread confirms the feeling that I was sensing. I got a personal taste of this when he questioned something in my thread in a manner that if it had been anyone else I would have been pissed, but again it was Ed and I just considered the source. There were no hard feelings because it was Ed and well....Ed is Ed!

Too bad...honestly I'll miss some of his humor, his frankness, and his knowledge of Busses and a complete willingness to share it with others. I'm not a Mod here and really have no desire to be one, it's a pretty thankless job and it would be a difficult one for me to undertake. I do respect their decision as they know far more about the rules than I do. But again...too damn bad!

Again, Walking Man has been an asshat for a number of years. The search function works.
 
Sneaking back in as he did yesterday pretty much seals the door since it shows a lack of character in taking responsibility for past actions.

Yeah, that's too bad. He's been around long enough to know that those trying to sneak back in after being banned will be found out. That's really burning your bridges.
 
I've learned something very powerful and important through this. Gig has some great sayings. I work in educational facilities and I have to see how many times I can get away with calling people "ASSHATS" today. Today is going to be a great day.:D;):D
