It started as an experiment to see if it would work. I was looking for a hollow grind that would work on thinner blades such as hunting knives. My friend found this US Army Infantry Fighing Vehicle idler wheel that was 3" wide and 24" across. I had it cut down to 2" wide and had a hub made for it to fit my grinder. It takes some getting use to but I like the grind. Its almost flat but not quite.

That's very cool Bruce!

I've been wanting a big wheel grinder ever since Tony Bose showed my his 20" Burr King.

But my 14" will have to do for awhile.

That is cool ......

I have Nathan's 36 radius platen and have done two knives with it I absolutely love the grind they make

Good lord Bruce....that almost looks cartoonish! It looks like your tracking wheel uses a ratcheting mechanism similar to the TW-90. That's pretty cool!

You so crazy!

Look kinda "Steam Punk"

Dang it Bruce!
I thought we were going to see a photo of you on one of the "Big Wheel" tricycles playing in the neighbor's driveway.

So do all your grinders use the 132" belts. Just noticed that thing in the background.
