Warning. Thief

I hope he isn't just BSing you but on the face of it, it looks like a few e-mails
and "questions" to him about his e-bay auctions may have done the trick.

Listen I don't know you. But you seem to be a straight up guy. I appreciate your posting here. I deleted all the pics I'd posted there today, and won't be returning to participate.

You are welcome to participate in any of my personal forums. I have one here, and at Knifedogs. If you're looking for a place to hang out, I'd love to have youu aboard.

Thanks very much, I appreciate the offer. Bernie Garland has decided to start up a new forum so that there can be no accusation of Tim owning the web site. We have no personal gripe with Tim and I hold no grudge although I can understand why others do. Tim will be welcome on the new forum, but I fear he has damaged his reputation massively and probably beyond repair. In some way I feel slightly sorry for him as he will always be under scrutiny and the past will never be forgotten, the knife community is a small one and it seems people want to watch each others' backs and that is a great thing, but it won't work in Tims' favour.

Anyway, Bernie is getting the website set up, he hopes to have it sorted in the next few weeks but he wants it done properly without the start up hassles UK Blades had with the forum rules and layout being taken from other blade forums. His wife, Maxine, is going to set it all up and keep it running as it starts up and she will do a proper job. I'm hoping the knife community will support the launch and not run it down, it's difficult starting out and the issues we had on UKB at the start (which was avoidable) was still a pain in the ass! I'll pop back in here from time to time though. I've been registered here some time and never got on with the forum layout before as there is so much to look at! In the short time I have been posting though I've been made quite welcome so I'll make the effort. :D

You can be sure his past won't be forgoten as long as he keeps playing the same shady game again and again. :thumbdn:

However, it is good to see people like you distance your selves from him. That may help get
the message accross that he is not some one people want to deal with or be associated with.

Not everyone in that UKBlades thread gave Timbo a pass before it was locked. Folks were pretty outspoken against design theft by the end.

As for trusting that he'll keep his word... well, let's just say I'm not holding my breath. The dude admittedly steals designs and then has them made in China. Is that the sort of "chap" who keeps his word?

Oh, and Andy, "Slimy Thief" was a great thread title.

I thought about this one some more. I cannot fathom that this guy thought he was paying Andy a compliment by ripping off his designs and having them made in Pakistan or China or wherever.

Or maybe he didn't. Maybe he's a lying SOB as well as a thief.

o Plane ticket to England: as low as $250 round trip

o 5 gallon jerry can of petrol - $going-rate

o one boxes of matches - ahhhh

the warm feeling you get roasting marshmallows - priceless

oh, wait. right. dude's a first class scum bag. shame people have to steal intellectual and artistic works because they have no talent. the guy isn't even a knife maker of meric? shee-it.

Guys, just a quick heads up on Bernies' new site, UKBladesForum. The name is similar to the other, but how many names can be made up for a British knife forum?! I don't want to be seen as spamming this forum, it is just another place for you folks to hang out occasionally and it would be great to see some of the knives made by makers here on UKBF too. Anyway, if anybody wants to pop over, please do. There isn't masses of content up at the moment but over time it should settle into a nice friendly place to hang out on.

If this is breaking any rules Mods, then please moderate as you see fit. I am a Moderator on UKBF and I want to be up front about that so that there isn't any conflict of interest. I am happy to point people this way too, although I'd be surprised if they didn't know about BladeForums already! ;)
