Washington Street!!

How's the #78 pull? I saw a video review saying the reason it's not super popular is because of the strong pull.

Mine is perfect. I'm no good at the 1-10 scale. I think it's because my main carry is a 23 and it ruined my perspective. I'd say that my 78 is just a step above the 66 or 15. It's pretty comparable to the pulls on my Case Sodbuster Jr. and Schrade 8OT if you're familiar with those knives at all. It feels a little different because it's got half stops, where those don't, but the strength is about the same. It's very solid, but light enough that I don't have to adjust my grip at all at the half stop and it's very much under control the whole way. I don't know if I got lucky with mine or if I'm just more accustomed to a heavier pull, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 78 to somebody because of it's pull. I was anticipating problems because of what I'd heard, and instead I have a new standard on what I want a knife to feel like when opening/closing.

The strongest pull I have is a Bullnose but I also have a 15 which I think is perfect.

The pull on my #78 is noticeably stronger than on both my #77's. I would say it is definitely a bit stronger than all of my #15's. I like that it is. For its size, the #78 is a pretty beefy knife, so stronger springs suit it well. It doesn't approach the #36 or the #73, which are just about nail breaker status. The more of these knives I obtain, the more I appreciate heavy pulls though. I think the #77 will be right at most people's sweet spot.

Just received my #77 Washington Jack in Cocobolo! This is knife is a work of art. I am extremely happy with the fit and finish. The pull is about 6-7...just perfect. The wood covers are perfect. This is the straight grain and even color I had hoped for. This is my first forum knife AND my first GEC button! Thanks to Old Hundred Collectables for really coming through. The knife is so shining it was a challenge to minimize the reflections. ;)

I really hope there are more runs of these knives in the future. I'm truly surprised by how much I'm enjoying this one. I love the thin, flat handles, blade setup, etc. So glad I was able to score a cocobolo version, as it's my favorite, but wouldn't mind having one more in one of the other options.

yeah Markesharp, that is some beautiful wood grain you have there! Great pictures too, really shows off the knife well.

Very nice, Mark! That Cocobolo is super!

I just got an email from one of our great dealers saying a Cocobolo Washington Jack became available. Right after I spent my lunch admiring all the Cocobolo pics from today.

Made my day 🙏
