  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Watches and Hinderers

I enjoy things that do what they do - well. If that comes with a premium, Fine. A deed and a mortgage to tell when my bus is coming..... No Thanks.

(I know, IF you are spending 3/4 of a million $$ on a watch chances are you aren't timing Bus arrivals but you get what I mean)

Unless you own a country and are timing Airbus arrivals/departures....then maybe it's a justifiable expense.

I couldn't resist, my Son's Birthday is this weekend and supposedly he wants a "Nice Watch" so...... I Googled that.
I won't post the link But, I get a $779,000.00 watch pop up -

I can't decide what color ;)

jeezus there are some whacko people out there.

You'd have to buy a safe big enough to become a bedroom so he could live it in and keep the watch there...

Lol!! Yes if your buying a watch at that price you pay people to worry about your money for you :D So yo have time to look at watches in that price range. And maybe it's a helicopter you call airbus to take you to look at one :D

Most expensive watch that I almost bought was a Zenith, beautiful - Love at first sight but I came to my senses in time. :)

Are you sending back to Rolex or using and independent for service? The reason that I ask is that Rolex will rape you on the service and sometimes make you get a new dial, hands, bezel insert, crystal, etc. If you are happy with the watch, but it is not keeping good time, I would recommend finding an independent watchmaker and have them service it for you. You will save a bundle, and they will replace the casetube and necessary gaskets, clean, polish and time...good as new. Usually their turnaround time is a couple of weeks.

If you are looking for another watch, I would see what is on Craigslist locally...never know what you will find.

Just got my Rolex back. I send it out for a clean up and service through Mayors Jewlers. They did an awesome job on it and the price was decent too ;)
