Watches and Hinderers

Nice Ross! That setup looks great on your slicer.

Thanks, Jensen. I had it with blue hardware for a little while and then I decided to switch to bronze. I think I like it better this way. Now just waiting on pivots......like everybody else....

Now that's a nice Omega. I've been on the fence for months between a Sub, Seamaster or Ball. I know...get all 3....hopefully I will in time...pun somewhat intended.

Thanks. All good choices, but I am partial to Omega over the others. Buy what fits best.

N2K, You cannot go wrong with an Omega.
Personally, I believe they are among the best timepieces in the world. My father had a Seamaster that was given to him by his father that was given to me. I believe it was an early 1950's piece. It is still going strong today.
I bought the one I liked about 8 years ago....not the most expensive watch....but worth every penny....and my favorite.

Omega stepped up their game with the PO and Co-Axial movement. After having owned a PO and numerous SMP's, I can say the PO is a great watch. The bracelet is very nice, and the option of the tropic strap is great. I owned a Ball, and would not waste my money on one, they are interesting, but just did not do it for me, as they kind of have that cheesy, over polished Breitling finish on the bezel and case, not too mention way too many extra screws, knobs, etc. that are not necessary in the design and clutter the piece.

With recent increase in watch prices across the board, I would still go with a pre-owned Sub for an investment and timeless piece. If you ever choose to sell, you will never lose any money if you buy right.

Owned two Rolexs and several Breitlings.
By far, my Omega Planet Ocean is the best at what a watch is supposed to do.
Dead on accurate and an automatic ta boot.
Amazing watch.

I have the two. Model of the one escapes me but the most recent is a Crosswind Special Limited Edition.
Beautiful time piece.

I hear you guys on the Ball...it's got a robust build but could be described as chunky in some ways. I'm not gentle on anything so my gear takes a beating. The more streamlined lines of the Sub, SeaDweller and the Omega PO are very appealing to me. Like I mentioned in the past; it's the painted bezels that slow me down but I haven't seen too many in bad shape so my concerns are likely of little concern.

Rubi told me to get an Omega long ago, I planned to try them on in my travels but haven't yet. I guess I need to focus more attention on this.

Ross, great pics with the timepieces. Cf looks great on the 3"s! I'll have to find some soon...
