WE Knives? Another high end Chinese company?

Saw someone on IG say that the 617 could give the "Spyderco PM2 a run for the money" - pretty lofty statement. Your thoughts?

I own both (as a matter of fact, I own several PM2's, due to the sprint-run versions) and both are outstanding knives! There is only one solution: do as I did and buy both

I found some Stedemon knives at Knifecenter and these knives look really nice! I like the designs and the F&F look great.
I have a Shy 4 incoming. I'll be back.

After a long wait with super slow shipping (Thanks MassDrop ), my WE 616 should finally be in today. I'll try to post a few pictures later.

I'd like to see it.^
Can you posy a pic of the Shy4, Hackenslash, please?

I've had my 612F, 613C, 614A and 615C for a couple of weeks now (and a 617E should land on my doorstep today) so it's perhaps a good thing I've decided to take somewhat of a breather and make the plunge on two of their titanium pens, a green and a purple. Given how this brand has yet failed to disappoint me, I'm looking forward to maintaining that happy streak.

By the way, my 615C blue Cirrus has a slightly softer detent break relative to all other WE folders that have crossed my path thus far. I can't say whether this is common to the model or not, just that I've used this particular knife to introduce other people to the brand and to manual flippers in general. The softer detent is actually easier for someone new to flippers to deploy and gives a satisfying "snick" without a lot of conscious effort on their part.

The somewhat "lighter than it appears" weight of the Cirrus has also not been lost on most that I've handed it to, and truth be told, the Cirrus has displaced my 608H as my present "work knife."

Hopefully, I won't be guilty of enabling someone else's addiction.

No worries, I am infected since a long time ago and happily there is no cure.....

Sorry guys, sorry Gary...i only now got notified there were updates in this topic...so sorry i didn't answer the question. Luckily Ad did...Probably something wrong with the notifying system of BF...

The coating on the WE knives is very good. I have showed my 602 pretty often in vids.. i used this one a lot. And it hardly shows wear...it is really very good.

Some news:

The 616 is now available to order for the retailers/resllers in 5 varieties
Also the 619 is available for ordering. This will be a <3" blade
And then the 620 is also available for ordering for retailers.

I have them on the way so will be showing them pretty soon on video...

Sounds like you Like your 615 - that's awesome!

I can tell you definitively that the detent strength is by design. I wanted it to feel refined, yet satisfying and fast, without being laborious in any way. Also, it should deploy well using the blade cutout.

Cheers!

Here's the 616! This is one, sexy hawt knife that seems to perform as good as it looks! Simon, you have a gift, Sir!

Judging from pictures and descriptions alone, I think I just found a great alternative to a longtime grail I've been lusting for, a Shirogorov 111. Every time I attempted to buy one, my wallet constricted.

615C blue Cirrus seems to be my Shiro cure.

Guess I'll have to wait some unknown time for dealers to get a few into stock.

Vdk just released vids and pics of the new persion called the Pharaoh. Similar to the pioneer, but unique. Check it out on his Instagram. Made by we knives.

Interesting...I'm a little late to the game...who is VDK?
