I know YT channel Zelrick has one in order...and they arrived in the USA so it will not take long for Zelrick will do a review.

There is now one independant written review available on a Dutch knife forum...but i don't think you understand a word of it :-)
Maybe the positive: the guy who reviewed it, ordered one...
 
Thanks Henk and you are correct in your assumption ;) while I've traveled to Holland years ago, I was fortunate enough that the kind folks there also spoke English too, otherwise it would have been a difficult two weeks to train them there :) one fellow actually gave me a complete set of wooden shoes that was his families so I brought them home to my family, very kool to see them try and walk in the wooden shoes!

I wondered how wide the handle is at the guard area, measuring down from the spine to where the finger wraps around the guard, to see if it may be too narrow?

That would be 1,25 inch, measured around from the back to the deepest point of the lock. When measuring in a straight line that would be 1 inch. That's wide enough, even for my big paws..
Besides of that, this knife melts in your hand! Ergonomics are outstanding!
I am that Dutch guy who wrote that review and ordered one.
Believe me, this knife is to good to be true! Couldn't find one single downside!

BTW, your review caused me to buy the Kizer Corto, so it's only fair I cause you to buy the WE knife 617! :glee::glee:

I thought the spinner/tops was a joke until I saw them for real. What a waste of money. I didn't know such a large sector of the public was regressing.
 
Thanks Ad58, seen that one too, made by Henk. The 617 sure does look good, anyone know what the coating is on the black portion of the blades? how resistant they are from scratching?

And those spinners, well, I have NEVER before heard of such a thing either, but from a quick google they seem all the latest craze ;) go figure right?

BUT, those in the photo above from WE look extremely well made, even if it is an odd quirky device that some people seem to use to expend nervous energy, might be handy for at work while on the phone or just to keep you from lighting up, dunno, but from the looks of those, I would guess they will be pricy and out of my reach, IF I were inclined to give one a spin...pun intended ;)

Hi Gary,
I heard some rumors that the coating is PVD which stands for (physical vapor deposition). But I never liked blacked blades. In the end they will scratch all. In this respect I prefer the black stonewash blades from ZT.

Just got shipping confirmation on my WE 616 from MassDrop. I'm more excited about this knife than any other for a long time! Such a sweet, sexy tanto in a great size for EDC. I'll try to share some pictures when it gets here. I don't know if the 616 is even available elsewhere yet...
