WE Knives? Another high end Chinese company?

This 606 has the smoothest action of any knife I have felt. Literally amazing! I ordered a blue one and this purple one showed up!! Love it anyways!

Not fair. Its as if it was made for me.

Wholly agreed, all counts!

The Stedemon B-02... I got one on with the GPK color line and 204P and it's an awesome little knife! I would've avoided it like the plague only a few years ago.

Nice -- congrats!

I wish Stedemon would shrink it to 2.99 inches.

That's odd, since the blue-handled one (606CFA) normally comes with purple-anodized hardware, while the purple-handled one (606CFD) comes with bronze-anodized hardware. I've never seen a purple/purple combo in a 606.

Interesting!! The plot thickens!
WTF???

Didn't the original 606 release come with an additional hardware/pivot set in an alternate color? They reportedly discontinued that practice after too many people sent their knives in for warranty service after screwing up the hardware swap. Maybe you have one with the alternate color hardware installed?

Hey Rick!
The way you see it is the way it came and I didn't get the extra set. I think I bought mine just when they stopped including it.

I've got a purple/purple too...also after they stopped including the extra hardware.

This thread was a pleasure until the last couple pages.
Maybe pics will bring it back.

It was only with the first batch of the model 601 that WE Knife included the extra hardware set in different color.
No other model had extra hardware since.
But... it is possible for dealers to get hardware sets in alternative colors so it is possible that they supply these to their customers. That's why there are some hybrids out there...

Andy!!! Haven't seen you around my friend!!
Hope all is well brother!
Ano not rubbing off at all and I carry that one a lot. Had it a few months now, along with the 603, and I haven't had to touch anything at all on either. Blades still perfectly centered with, literally, flat out amazing action!
They are really excellent knives!
If you like to check either one, or both out, hit me up!
Joe

Thanks joe
Been working 14 hour days lately

I just pocket carry mine , used lightly to cut tape and got this now. Love the knife though. Action is butter and still sharp as ever

Little hard to see, but are those scratches maybe?? I'm on my phone.

Yeah
I must have scratched it up. I also keep a metal flashlight in the same pocket.

I get scratches in the same place from the copper coin pocket rivet on my Levis 501s.
Baffled me for a short time.

I have the 606CFB, green with with carbon fiber inlays, and I've noticed a lightening in the green color toward the mid-section of the presentation side handle slab. It's not a problem or anything. It certainly doesn't make me like the knife less, just the normal effect that hand oils will have on bright anodized colors from extended use. It actually makes me like the knife a little more because it gives it a little bit of a "weathered" look. That, along side the perfectly milled CF and colored hardware, gives the knife a new kind of cool look.

I'll try to put up a picture when I get home tonight.

Since I got my 616, I haven't felt compelled to pick up any of the newer models except for a 617 that passed through my hands. I'm really waiting for WE to offer a ~3" blade in a lightweight package that'll fit in well for daily office carry. So many great knives are coming out with 3.5-4" blades but most just too big for my EDC needs...
