WE Knives? Another high end Chinese company?

So I got mine today. A quick first few impressions. Excellent F&F, I agree the gray has a acid wash-y look to it (which I like), very sharp out of the box, feel smaller in hand than expected (I have large hands), middle finger flipping is way easier than using the tab (for me), at first I thought something was wrong, but I did get the hang of the tab after a couple tries, if you're more use to regular flippers you might have the same experience (Sausage Index Fingers don't help :D ) All in all quite happy.
I might do a more comprehensive review after a few days when I had a bit pocket time.

Glad it's not just me that has a hard time with the flipper - middle finger works well, as you noted

The flipper tab is identical to the one on the Eschaton and flipping that knife all day is effortless. The detent is similar as well. I need to make a conscious effort to keep my middle finger off the lockbar or that sharp little flipper tab makes flipsturbation painful. The Eschaton's linerlock arrangement might have been a better option for the Zeta. Hell, it's practically a linerlock anyway. Fortunately, that huge blade cutout is perfect for middle finger flicking. It also helps to use the side of your index finger on the flipper tab, rather than the tip

The flipper may be identical but the ramping for the flipper is different on the Eschaton (which makes it waaaay easier to flip)

I went to BladeHQ yesterday to buy the Zeta and after handling it for a while, decided against it. The flipper tab was just too awkward. It’s almost like a front flipper, but too sharp, and with too strong a detent for the angle. Not natural at all. The opening on the blade did allow for flipping, but the detent for that was actually a bit weaker than I thought it should be. Just couldn’t feel comfortable with it at all, which is too bad, as it’s a gorgeous knife. Looking forward to seeing what the Theta feels like when it comes in. So glad I can drive down and try these knives out before I buy them.

Good point. I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I have no trouble flipping the Zeta as long as I remember to keep my finger off the lockbar.

So my inner FOMO got the best of me, and I went ahead and bought a blue/bronze Eschaton (expecting it to arrive this week), now I'm starting to have doubt about the purchase, specifically the Titanium vs CF version.
My initial argument was, I have too many CF scale knives already, WE is known for their anodized colours, fewer rough edges on the skeletonised inner part of the blade, and finally more limited numbers 500vs 700.
Then my collegue took a look at a pictures and said it looks like a low budget sci-fi movie prop! And then all my arguments just went straight out of the window!
Why can't WE be more like ZT, one limited edition varient at a time
What make you decide which one to get?

Having handled both, I felt that the Titanium version was better balanced in the hand.

Just got my blue eschaton.and I love it, awesome action, perfect fits and finishes, and just enough weight to it to give it a sense of reassuring quality.
No more talk of it looking like a movie prop anymore....

Now what's mext? the dragon scale, the intergral or the Zeta?

I like the titanium Eschaton better....but had to buy both to decide. :D

That new Wisp (805) does look like a nice one. Shorter, thinner blade and torx screws. Sure does seem like they've paid attention to what people have been asking for. I'll be picking one of those up for sure. :)

I've been consider either the 805 or the 804. Can't really decide between the two of them.

I like the balde shape and slimness of the 805 over the 804 but need the just under 3" blade length.

WE 804 has a bladel length of 2.95", 0.12" blade thicness, weighs just 2.68 ounces, S35VN, titanium frame lock, ceramic bearings flipper, titanium clip, CF inlays on both sides and CF backspacer.
