I agree James...
Never would I have ordered a creamsicle if I had not seen Guyon's and just went based on the Buck site.
Same with their preview of the indigo. Didn't like it until I saw a pic of ZZJAKE's with NS.

I guess I'm just not that fond of wood scales that aren't some shade of brown or black or red. Blue wood just doesn't seem right to me. Orange would be a stretch. :o

How about the French green stuff Mike?

Don't even get me started on the French.
But a good question.

Mike...very cool avatar

There does not appear to be an email address for contacting Buck ANYWHERE in the website. This is hard to believe in this day. You really should have email contacts available for customers who do not have time to call or mail a letter. Get with the times!;)

If I sold a major product like Buck, I'd to what I could to make sure the best Buck message forum is attached to my website. They're probably not the best forums but I think Jepp and Marlin Firearms have message forums attached to their sites. To use it them, you have to go to their main website and click the Forum button.

It's been mentioned that the website could use more/better pictures. The custom shoppe in particular could do way better than the computer generated images of the wood options on the 110. Other threads in this forum have way nicer pictures of custom shoppe 110's. Just look at the Flaming Koa in this jpeg

posted by Buckaholic -- absolutely stunning. Flaming Koa isn't a common wood anywhere but in Hawaii, and good photos would go a long way to selling more.

If you ask, I'd bet that you could get a lot of very nice images from the members here for the cost of a stamp on their email. FWIW

This idea is a great one on multiple levels. It provides for better illustrations on the website and also gives Buck collectors club members a chance to show off their knives and photos. All at vertually no cost to Buck, since the photos would be donated from the members.

1. offer pay pal
2. offer more custom options for materials
3. larger better photos
4. offer links to custom itmes you don't sell like sheaths
5. offer customs that are as good as those on ebay
5. OFFER DISCOUNTS TO BLADE FORUM MEMBERS WHO TALK ABOUT PROMOTE AND BUY YOUR KNIVES

Photos and more info on discontinued knives. If Buck clearly labels that protion of the site as DISCONTINUED (or how about "COLLECTABLE") knives they can avoid confusion with the current product line.

I'd like to see the site more internationally friendly, make custom sales available worldwide. I live in Australia and would love a custom 110. Over here if you ask for a buck knife at a hunting store they ask what's that...

Second that... Jollyjumbuck...

I'm from Singapore and its next to impossible to order anything from that website.... PLEASE make custom sales available internationally..

Joe... now would be a good time to implement what you told me in your email about what you hoped could be done in future..:D

I promise you more sales from me....:)

And yes, like many have said.. more accurate pics of the custom shoppe handle options please... had I know Koa looked like that, I would have ordered my BG-42 in Koa.... DAMN!!!!

Welcome to Bladeforums.com Jollyjumbuck!!! :D Please take a moment or two to visit our benefactors, Buck Knives http://www.buckknives.com/ and One Stop Knife Shop http://www.onestopknifeshop.com/ (Kevin owns this Forum!) ;)

Buck has a very interesting Virtual Plant Tour at http://www.buckknives.com/plant_tour.php , a guide to Tang Stamp Codes at http://www.buckknives.com/collectors_vintage.php , and there is a brief introduction to the Buck Collectors Club at http://www.buckknives.com/collectors_club.php . The Buck Collectors Club commissions special and unique versions of Buck knives for member sales only, so you might want to consider joining to gain access to some of these truly awesome knives!!! :)

Now...As to the Custom 110...What's stopping you??? :D I know for a fact Buck takes VISA, Mastercard, Goosecard...

Won't they ship OzAir???
