Hi - Great new look!

I'm no longer recieving email notifications of PMs - any advice?

Some people are having issues with Yahoo and Verizon email domains receiving notifications. Some are finding them routed to their spam or junk folders. Some domains may be filtering them at the DNS level, too.
 
No notifications (new posts) all day, Gmail.

(False alarm, they got directed to spam... Might still be a minor data point, though)

Everything looks great, otherwise, and the bugs seem to be getting resolved quickly, from my non-IT pov...

If I'm correctly reading your post, it looks like I can not restrict my search to a single thread in Advanced Search, since there doesn't seem to be any way to specify the thread I want searched. On the other hand, if I use "unadvanced" Search, I can restrict the search to a single thread, but I can't sort by date, since "unadvanced" Search apparently offers no options on what to sort by. That's a sad development. :(

I agree with you that sorting by "relevance" is useless, since we have few clues to what criteria determine relevance. I'd be a very happy camper if "sort by date" was the default for both simple and advanced search! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

You are correct. As far as I can tell, you cannot search an individual thread AND list those results by date.
 
I've never had issues with email notifications, even after the upgrade but recently when my iPhone fetches emails from my gmail account it started putting my email notifications in junk.
I went to my gmail app and the email notification was in the spam folder and there was an option to report not spam and the email went to my inbox.
I just added BF as a contact to my gmail app and iPhone contacts, I'll have to wait for the next email notification to see if that worked.

edit update, emails are still going to Spam, I did report not spam again, still not going to inbox so I just added a filter with the email address from BF to never send to Spam, waiting on my next notification, hope the filter works.

I have a yahoo email.This is not related to bladeforums but for the past 4 kor 5 days I have not got a single spam in my spam folder
or the inbox.This has to be wrong cause normally it is 5 or 10 a day.
 
Mine are still going to spam (Gmail), even after using the "not spam" button several times... I briefly searched around for a better "whitelist" option, but couldn't find anything else...

On the lighter side of things, the feedback system no longer requires posted replies. :thumbsup:
 
Email notifications start working again after I added gmail filter,not sure why this all started with gmail, yahoo has been my issues for years
 
Email servers changed with the server switch, which caused issues with DMARC / DKIM. Couple that with members who have subscribed threads and invalid emails in their profiles and suddenly we're on a ton of spam lists for sending mail to accounts that don't exist
 
I’ve gone through and reset all my watched threads to make sure they’re set to receive email notifications. It says that I’m watching this thread but I still don’t get email notifications. Beats me, none in junk. Only started this weekend

I'm not following you.
As far as I can tell, "sort by date" is the the default result for simple search. Newest to oldest. I don't see any difference from the simple search in the prior BF Xenforo version.

I'm in this thread.
I click in the search window at the top of the page.
I put in the search terms.
I select "this thread".
I can choose a user.
I click <search>
The result is sorted by date. What am I missing?
