Well I got to look at the Sebenzas and...

Yes, sad isn't it? Some folks have no clue has how to comport themselves and love the relative anonymity that the internet affords them to do their little schtick. Threads like this can be a magnet for certain types of comments. Do not pay attention to the people that require the use of the largest font they can find to whine and cry about things (and make little sense in the process), or feel the need to be braggarts about whatever as if any one really cared. This is a place for knife discussion, some people will be reminded of that and if they do not get it, they will be gone. Either that, or someone is going to have to start paying us to run a babysitting service for grown ass people.

Got a kick out of that one, Charlie :D:D

You want to know what makes me sad (along with these negative knife discussion thread's):

Maybe if some of you people would spend your valuable time, writing positive reviews about the knives you like, instead of harping on these stupid, incessant trolling threads, this would be a much happier place! This subject, has been covered beyond the point of, Ad nauseam...if that's possible! :barf:

I have, look in the testing and review section.

Love mine. Use it everyday too. And when my $410 knife gets dull, I put it on my $255 sharpener and sharpen it with $395 stones. The knife may be overrated to some people, but I see no problem with purchasing it if you can justify it. If what you buy makes you happy, as it should, more power to ya. If some people think it's overrated and think their $50 knife is the best thing ever, and they're happy with it, more power to them! There's no need for putting others down for their purchases or opinions on a product because you don't understand it. Sadly that seems to be the case with a lot of people though.

If you don't like thumstuds try. A Gareth Bull Shamwari. It is a front flipper. Which will become your favorite once you learn to open it all 3 ways. They come in 3.4" 3.25" and 3". Love mine.

Good luck getting one. It is usually not good when some one mentions a makers name and the first thing you think of is the GB&U. Here is a very long thread about very long waits by the lucky who actually got their orders from this guy: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...low-Delivery-waitlist-thread?highlight=Gareth

+1 on the Shamwari recommendation. Definitely the funnest of all my knives to open and close. BTW I love that Damasteel Shamwari ;-)

Craytab, I believe Gareth has made good on all those orders. He has learned from his mistakes and no longer takes deposits on knives. His books are currently closed, but when I placed an order with him the wait time was much less than with many other customs I have on order. He also sells knives in runs on instagram from time to time, on a first come first serve basis.

Wow, we're all REALLY impressed. That IS why you just had to mention the prices you paid for of all your stuff, right? To impress people?

No, to show that I don't think some expensive items are overrated. If I recall correctly, another member posted that CRKs are nothing but overrated. If he thinks those knives are overrated, he MOST LIKELY believes most other expensive knives/accessories are overrated as well. Attitudes and mind sets carry over from one thing to another.

I do not think that idiom means what you think it means.
